Not one of my son's favorites August 11, 2008 He never gets into playing with this, I think because it is not so easy to grab and lift. He prefers the Lamaze puppy, which has more grabbable parts and is smaller so he can lift it to his mouth. Lamaze Pupsqueak
Thought it would have more sounds June 28, 2008 I bought this toy for my daughter who hasn't arrived yet so I don't know what her opinion of it will be. I was a bit disappointed because I thought each section of the worm would have a different sound and/or texture. The textures are all the same and two of the sections crinkle when you squeeze them and two of the sections rattle...that's it! I was hoping that there would be a squeek and something scratchy, etc. but we will see! Other than that though it is very well constructed and the colours and very nice and bold.
First toy my son could manipulate... June 26, 2008 This toy was the first toy that my son could try to manipulate, when he was about 2 months old, we'd lay it diagonally across his body, and he could make crinkle noises by moving. As he has grown, so has the way he plays with the inchworm- the legs were the right size for him to practice grasping, and the colors and textures are still interesting enough for him at eight months. Now that he's a (relatively) big guy, he grabs the inchworm and wrestles with it on the floor. I agree with other reviews that the "musical" part is a bit of a misnomer- yes, it plays a song if you squeeze the inchworm's head, but you have to squeeze so hard that the baby wouldn't be able to do it. Overall, one of the best toys we received as a gift.
favorite toy June 24, 2008 This is so far the favorite toy of my 3 month old son. When he sees it he gets all excited. He can't do much more than to kick and cooo yet but he does it a lot when the inchworm is in his view. I expect the toy to grow with him. Only draw back is the music is very very low you have to be really quiet to hear it. I got this toy because it is orange and we realized that our baby loved orange things and we didn't make a mistake. He really loves it....
Cute like all Lamaze toys June 10, 2008 My son has this except it has different colors as those shown here..but it's just as cute, he likes to take it by the tail and drag it across the room and chew on it, I think the sections of the worm that he likes the most are the ones that make crinkle noises. I gave it 4 stars because even though he's 14 months now he still can't get the music to play when he presses the head since you need more force. we have other Lamaze toys like the owl and the moose and those seem to grab his attention more than this one.
