Good for 14 mos + September 30, 2008 My daugher really started to show interest in this toy around 13 months, but had trouble grasping the shapes. The bug shapes are thick wooden pieces that fit into a duplicate painted image. They don't sit deep into the board making it a little more challenging - good for the 14-18 month group. Beautiful vibrant colors.
I love these puzzles September 10, 2008 These wood puzzles from Melissa & Doug are great. They are durable and fun. And it's a great tool for teaching your kid the difference between a moth and a butterfly, a fly and a bee.
cute pictures, paint chips July 12, 2008 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
My son really likes to play with the big chunky pieces in this puzzle. However, it has already started to chip paint, exposing the unfinished wood below. I feel like it should be more durable.

Best December 27, 2007 These are the best puzzles ever. I got them for my nephew and grandson for Christmas and they love them.
