I can't think of a better torture instrument... November 12, 2009 Magicians_assistant (global citizen) 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
...than this toy would be to a parent. Give this to somebody you don't like that has kids, give it wrapped in foil and gift marked and watch the visual symphony of pain that plays across their face as they open it and see what it is. Then smile really big, that kind of smile you have in goofy wedding pictures where your top lip gets stuck on your dry teeth and you look like a hillbilly janitor, and say "Won't that be fun?!" which is "Suck it A Hole" in the language of revenge.
I am writing this while stoned.
It seems important that you know that.
Ok
I'm gonna take a bath.
Bye.
Great First Music Set October 31, 2009 G. Engler (Seattle, WA) We like the set a lot. We purchased it for our 9month old who took to it immediately. We still havent given her the triangle and the symbol, I think we will wait until she is a bit older. We gave her all the other musical instruments and she loves them. She love the shakers, clacker and the tambrine. I love that the shakers are quite so it is not annoying to listen to my 1 year old shake them next to my head for fund. All the toys are loud enough that she enjoys them yet quite enough that I allow her to play with them.
We like it alot-- we have used them daily for months now and all seems working (knock on wood).
Would recommend to other parents. I would buy this toy for any child over 9months (just pick which instruments are appropriate for what age, depending on your child). If i was to do this over again, i would introduce one instrument per month or so.
disappointed October 12, 2009 LW (Atlanta, GA United States) I bought this set particularly for the symbals. What a disappointment. They do not clang like symbals should. And the handles came off after one week. Also, the maracas are sub-par and the sound they make is so soft that one can barely hear it. The triangle is very large and slightly unwieldy. Definitely not worth the money I spent on it.
great music set June 1, 2009 toddlermom great set for child 2 and up. my 1 yr old was a little young for some of the instruments. love it though
Disappointed May 25, 2009 Tokyo Mike (Japan) I was disappointed with this product. The shakers did not shake (i.e. they were so filled with sand or whatever else is inside them that they did not make much noise) and the symbols make very little noise at all other than a boring "clank". It is a pity because with a little more effort this could have been a great product.
