Useless as it doesn't fit all the puzzles your child will have October 6, 2009 Uma Subramanian (Seattle, WA USA) 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
My son has some standard size puzzles with small pegs and some large chunky puzzles all by Mellissa and Doug. This case only fits the standard puzzles. So more than half of this case is empty for me plus I still have to look for another storage for the chunky ones. At least it would have been nice if they had a matching case for the chunky puzzles but doesn't look they have one. I hate this product as it's occupying space but is half empty and half of the puzzles are still lying outside!
cute puzzle box September 20, 2009 M. B. Tomory (Tempe, AZ United States) This is a great way to organize puzzles. It's a little on the pricey side (as all Melissa and Doug stuff are) and if any of my children stand on it, it will certainly break. That being said, it's cute, and handy, and really easy to get puzzles in and out of. I did go to target a few weeks after I got this, and they had a natural wood one with 4 puzzles included for $[...]. If I had seen that first, I wouldn't have bought this one.
Melissa & Doug Wood Puzzle Storage Case September 11, 2009 Jennifer G. Casoli Vant (Boston, Massachusetts United States) BEWARE do not buy this for the chunky puzzles ... although they could easily modify this case to fit the chunky puzzles, they don't currently fit. The wire rack by M&D is for the chunky puzzles which obviously isn't as nice as a wood case would be. This is the only time Melissa & Doug has ever dissapointed us!
Only certain puzzles will do! May 27, 2009 CJ (Orlando, FL) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
This is a cute product, but will only hold flat puzzles or ones with tiny plastic pegs. My son has many flat puzzles with various size wooden pegs on them. I just pile them all in it any which way they will go. The little racks are too close vertically for my son's puzzles, or too wide for his square wooden puzzles. I was disappointed, but at least they are stacked in something for now to keep them contained. I guess I could have just put them all in a cute square basket...
Grandma of active 12 month old boy April 15, 2009 Gail Randall (Riverdale, MD, USA) I bought this puzzle box for Orion, and we all loved it. It is sturdy, colorful, and easily stores his chunky, knob wooden puzzles. I was very pleased with this box. It is easy enough to slide the puzzles in that, when Orion is old enough, it will be a good learning toy for putting his puzzles away before bed.
