The Goodnight Moon Game is a collection of six matching and memory skill-building activities of gradually increasing difficulty featuring charming illustrations from the children's book classic. At the beginner's level, children match cards to identical images on the game board. They then graduate to games involving memory skills, while also matching images that are similar but not identical. Once you've matched and memorized to your child's content, cuddle up together to read Goodnight Moon. No reading is required to play the games. Includes four playing boards, 24 matching cards, and the rules. Winner of the Parents' Choice Gold Award and the Oppenheim Toy Portfolio Platinum Best Toy Award. Goodnight Moon Game is for one to four players. --Elizabeth Ward

4 out of 5 stars Another great way to experience a great book.   August 25, 2008
I loved this book as a child and now my daughter loves it too. This is a great way to experience the book in other ways, and to show you (as a parent) how to teach certain aspects of the book.

4 out of 5 stars Excellent toy!!   August 6, 2008
Excellent toy and a lot of fun for my toddler. She has read the book many times and loves seeing the illustrations from the book in the game.

4 out of 5 stars Great first board game!   September 24, 2007

My almost 3 yo received this for her 2nd birthday. We have read her the book since birth-and she took to the first few versions of the game right away. She enjoys playing almost all of the versions, now. There are 1 or 2 versions that she has tried, but is not successful with yet (they are rated for 4 or 5+ yo). It is great because it grows with your child's memory development. You can progress ahead to the next level whenever your child is ready-but, the first few versions they suggest are excellent for 2 yo kids. What a fun way to learn to wait your turn while someone else plays (and each turn is VERY short for the adults, so they don't have to wait long at all).

5 out of 5 stars Great Game!   April 7, 2007

My son is two-and-a-half and LOVES this game! We were having a hard time teaching him the concept of matching objects, but with this game, he picked it right up. He loves the book and recognized the pictures right away. I also like this game because it's designed to be played on several different levels. Right now we can just work on matching, soon we can build on that and use it as a memory game. I'm really happy that we got this game and enjoy playing it together!

4 out of 5 stars Good fun for younger children   February 15, 2007

My two-year old girl loves this game. Its easy and you don't have to be able to read to play it. Fans of the book will find it a great follow up...the child will be able to easily match up the pieces, and it provides good educational skills whilst being fun at the same time.
