Editorial Review
The musical Let's Go Fishin' game is a test for the eyes, hands, ears, and patience. As the pond circles the base (to the tune of "Row, Row, Row Your Boat") see how many more colorful fish you can catch than your fellow players. The trick is that the fish are moving up and down as they circle, as well opening and closing their mouths. Can you time it just right and bring home dinner? This game for one to four players includes four fishing poles, the musical game base (which can rotate with or without music), 21 colorful fish, and complete instructions. Requires two AA batteries (not included). --Heather Hawkins

Product Description
The action fishing game where players try for the biggest catch! Each player has a separate fishing pole with plastic bait at the end of the line. As the fish open their mouths, carefully lower your line into the fish's mouth, catching it as it takes the bait! Requires 1 size C battery (not included). For 1 to 4 players.

5 out of 5 stars Makes a Great First Game   November 21, 2008

I bought this game for my 3yr old about a year ago. It is a simple game that more than one person can play. This game really helped my toddler improve his hand-eye coordination.

It was difficult for him to use the fishing rods at first, but he decided just to use one of his fingers, which he thought was a fun way to catch the fish. As long as your child is past the stage of putting things in his or her mouth, you don't have to worry about choking hazards.

My son plays with this game nearly every other day. One of his other favorites is Memory Game - Go, Diego, Go!.

4 out of 5 stars 3 Cheers for the Fish   November 11, 2008
I have 2 grandchildren approx. 2-1/2 yrs old. They were about 2 when I purchased this. They enjoy it when they come over. We play together for about 10 - 15 minutes which is about their attention span right now, but it is a toy they will bring out to play with where many are gathering dust.

Its easy enough for a 2 year old and fun enough for an older child to play with it. A younger child will hold the pole rather than letting the string hang down and stick the pole into the mouth of fish. They get a kick out of catching them.

It's a game they will always come back for.

5 out of 5 stars favorite toy at pre-K   October 17, 2008
My son's pre-K class has this game, and it is definitely a favorite with all the kids. The kids ask for this game every day and love to play it.

Basically, the way it works is that the fish fit into holes in the game base and as the base spins around, the fish take turns opening and closing their mouths. Kids use fishing rods with magnets on the ends to try and attach on to the magnet in the fish's mouth and pull it up out of the pond.

the game is good practice with hand/eye coordination. I will also say that the one at school has taken a major beating and is holding up really well.

5 out of 5 stars interesting toy   October 3, 2008
My girl loves this. Note that this toy requires a battery that is bigger that ordinary AA battery.

4 out of 5 stars Provides wonderful family time fun esp for little ones   August 23, 2008
I think this is a cute little game for families with younger children - my husband and I have had fun with it playing with our 3.5 year old. She has actually mastered holding the fishing rod to pick up the little fish, and enjoys it tremendously when played as a family. We race each other to see who gets the most fish, and she just giggles all the time. It is also a great educational tool - as she learns to count, sort the different colored fish, and also improves her coordination skills. On the whole, this is a value for money toy - it is not exactly super durable - the fish itself are made of cheap quality plastic and the mouth easily pops off - but they are also very easy to put back together so no worries. I think parents of kids below 3 should be careful and supervise when playing with this toy as the fish are small enough to pose a choking hazard, esp if the parts pop off, but otherwise, this is a fun game for the family.
