Everybody knows kids get into manias, where they have to play the same game over and over, be it jacks, marbles, or... hopscotch. The only problem with hopscotch is that it's subject to the whims of the weather gods. But with this indoor/outdoor hopscotch mat, kids can hop from 1 to 10 any time they please. At 83 by 25 inches, the thing is as generously sized as one you'd draw on the sidewalk, and with its red, blue, orange, and green squares of washable polyester, it's twice as colorful. The set even includes a couple of stuffed markers, for equal opportunity hopping: one's a boy and one's a girl. --Claire Dederer

Great rug April 26, 2008
We've had this rug for over a year, and it still looks great. The girls are still too young to really play hopscotch (almost 4 and 2), but we use it for all sorts of other games (find the 6, sit on a green square, etc.). We have it on a laminate floor, and it doesn't slide at all. It vacuums well, and it's not too big to take and shake outside. I recommend it if you're looking for an activity rug.

This Hopscotch Rug is very cute and my 8 year old loves it as much as my 5 year old does. When your children aren't playing with it, simply roll it up and put it in the corner or in a closet. A little pricey, but worth the money.

My son loves this hopscotch rug. It gets rolled up and put in the living room, hallway, bedroom, etc. He loves the numbers and I like the brightness of the colors and the durability.

I bought this rug for my girls to get a little exercise while indoors during the winter months. It comes all rolled up, but then flattens out nicely! No rolled edges to trip on! And this means it can easily be stored in the closet or under the bed when not in use, if needed. It does have a non-skid backing, but still slides around just a bit on carpet, but that's to be expected as the girls jump on it.
I know this rug is a little pricier than the foam-block kind, but to me, the flat rug is worth it. I didn't want to risk any twisted ankles if someone jumped too close to the edge on one foot!

My children ages 3 and 5 love this hopscotch mat. It's nicely made and fun for rainy inside days. Rolls up and easy to put away when not in use.
