Such a good idea- very disappointed January 7, 2008 I thought this was a great idea for my son(4) who is very mechanically inclined. I knew that he would need adult help so we worked on the Dizzy Fun Land gears together. We still have not got the whole thing assembled in fact we haven't played with it since Christmas. A couple of the main parts to the Ferris Wheel won't stay in place. They constantly pop off and ruin the work you just put into it! Overall I don't think this toy was worth the money.
Difficult to build and doesn't stay together well but still fun January 1, 2008 I needed to coach my 5-year-old daughter through the entire contruction of this amusement park and, while I don't think she'll be able to replicate it on her own, she did learn to follow the printed instructions (kind of - they are quite complicated). The Ferris Wheel pops out constantly which is frustrating. She is having fun playing pretend with it. This is a nice toy for parents to spend time with their children with but it is probably not a "child can build on their own" toy.
bad manufacturing... December 30, 2007 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
My gears ratios don't line up across the product so it skips and stops instead of running smoothly (the problem is in the carousel gears). Also one of carousel horse fulcrums is too stiff and had to remove it completely for it operate. AND, the ferris wheels kept popping off their anchoring points, had to actually glue them in. Also it is very noisy. My kid liked it for about an hour.... then hasn't gone back.
Disappointed! January 18, 2007 4 out of 4 found this review helpful
My son put this together the day after Christmas and it worked smoothly. He was very excited about it. The next day, he took it down so he could rebuild it. It no longer went together. It was as if the plastic swelled and the parts were too big to put together. I don't know what to do with it. It sits in a box because he doesn't want to throw it away, however it is impossible to build again.
Awesome set February 19, 2006 6 out of 6 found this review helpful
This set is as fun as it sounds. Great for my pre-school room and older children can make more challenging designs. Inventive and fun.
