Amazon.com Review The popular Radio Flyer Pathfinder Wagon combines durability, comfort, and safety in a compact package pleasing to both kids and adults. The well-designed, award winning wagon features cup holders and flip-up seats that support children's backs. The seats can be put down when hauling stuff around. Parents will appreciate the safety belts, storage compartment, and long handle for easy pulling. Designed for up to two children ages one and one-half years and older, the Pathfinder also has front axles designed for safe, no-tip turning.
The Radio Flyer's seats flip out, letting kids be comfortable as they ride. View larger. | Flip up Seats to Give Kids a Comfy Ride; Flip Seats Down for More Storage Winner of awards including the National Parenting Publications Gold Award and the Oppenheim Toy Portfolio's Gold Seal Award, the Pathfinder is smaller than the Radio Flyer's Ultimate Family Wagon, but still roomy. Two kids can ride comfortably, or one child can ride with plenty of extra room for storage. Even three smaller kids might be able to ride in this versatile wagon (but keep in mind there are only two seat belts). The flip-up seats provide back support for the young ones, but don't recline, which would be nice for sleepy kids. The Pathfinder is made of sturdy plastic, in Radio Flyer's trademark red color. Assembling the wagon is fairly easy, but it does take a little time to get it right, and you should follow the illustrated instructions carefully. A Classic Wagon Just Gets Better Radio Flyer has been making wagons since 1923. Besides good, old-fashioned durability and great design, this solid wagon offers plenty of extras, including cup holders, an extra long handle, and flip-up seats. Safety features such as seat belts and non-tip turning are popular features for parents. The roominess of the Pathfinder means you can haul a lot of kids and toys, but beware, when fully loaded, it can get heavy. What's in the Box Wagon with 4 cup holders; two child seat belts; 4 wheels, parts for assembling wheels, and instructions.
The wagon comes with drink holders, ideal for longer trips. View larger. |

Seatbelts not attached well November 16, 2009 Anne Power (Denham Springs, LA) My nephew bought this for his two little boys. Since both boys are very young (<18 mos), both need seatbelts when riding around in it. Within about two months of getting it, three of the four seatbelt straps had pulled away from the plastic and couldn't be put back. And it's also, as others have mentioned, rather hard to pull, especially with two children in it. If the seatbelts aren't needed, it's not a bad toy, but if they're important to you, try something else.
Nice Wagon, Horrible Wheels November 13, 2009 Scott T. Strachan (South Florida) I have fond memories of barreling down a hill in my radio flier, wrecking it, and dragging it back up the hill to do it all over again. The wagon I had was the town and country and it has been used and abused. I am now 30 and my parents still use the wagon to haul stuff around it works great. I bought this wagon expecting the same great experience and was dissapointed. It seems very durable and I like the seats with the seatbelts (primarially the reason I bought it). My main complaint is with the front wheels. I understand that you cant steer it while sitting in the wagon but the wheels when I am pulling my son dont track straight & they just begin wobbling thus shaking the wagon. This is a major shortcoming in my opinion and is a significant design flaw (which earned this product the low rating). We will be getting one of the other wagons that have traditional wheels and axles and I would suggest that anyone reading this review do the same.
radio flyer 2700 pathfinder October 7, 2009 grandma (NC) I got this a day ahead of schedule, which was really nice. It was very easy to put together and the grandchildren tried it out immediately. They love going for rides and I enjoy pulling them along. So far, it has lived up to everything it said it would be.
5 yrs Durable, Best Wagon Ever! October 5, 2009 LG (CA) We've had this wagon for over 5 years and it has been wonderful. It is very sturdy, durable & safe for little ones....and bigger kids too! It has a nice handle for parents to pull that moves up and down to adjust to your height(we're tall so it helps).
The wagon has seat backs that flip up or down depending on how you want to use the wagon. There are two seat backs that flip up, each seat has a locking seat belt and a cup holder. The kids sit knee to knee, face to face, (which caused some problems but nothing unusual)and are very safe. If you put the two seats down the wagon is the typical flat bed to lay in, tote things in, store water baloons, carry Girl Scout Cookies to neighbors, tote bags of Mom's garden supplies, etc. We have used this wagon for every thing you can think of and more! It has been to the beach, the desert, parks, etc. Just rinse it off and it's ready for something new. I like that the handle flips all the way around the wagon to fold up so that it can go in the back of my vehichle easily. I am not sure that we will ever get rid of this wagon!
The front wheels are terrible!!!! September 14, 2009 Christine C (Arvada, CO) With a name and reputation like Radio Flyer, you expect great quality.
Did anyone at QA test this product before production?! The front wheels do not turn together, they constantly spin around and turn sideways. This wagon is very hard to pull and very aggravating.
I will not buy another Radio Flyer after owning this one.
