5 out of 5 stars Loved it!   February 9, 2010

It as about time Disney made a story like this one! Wonderful story. I loved that the book even came in with music and with typical New Orleans accent! Just adds to the magic..!

3 out of 5 stars No games   February 4, 2010

For those of you who have a tag and the books, you know that at the end of most books there is games. They teach reading and memory skills. This is my favorite part of this system, my daughter has learned a lot form these games. While Princess and the Frog tells the story there is no games at all at the end of this book. My daughter loves this, but I feel that ALL of the tag books should have the games. You pay alot of money for the books and I feel the games make it worth it. With out the games I can read her the story myself with a normal book.

5 out of 5 stars Greatest story-time hour ever!   January 10, 2010

I purchased it for a little girl whose is in kindergarden, and whose parents are a very busy and unavailable to spend time teaching her to read. One of the parents mentioned her daughter's interest in learning how to read. I already had an earlier version of Leap Frog products, which I had purchased for a nephew so i decided to introduce Leap Frog and the Tag system to her. I knew this child was already motivated and just needed the right tools and encouragement. I presented her with several gift wrapped presents on Xmas eve. You had to be there to see this, she took the packages from her mother, and instead of waiting until Xmas she immediately grabed the Leap Frog, ripped opened the gift wrapped package and in literaaly minutes she sat down and was demonstrated how it should be used. She uses it daily and told her mother this was best xmas ever. She loves her Leap frog and tag sysyem its very user friendly for both parent and child. It also encourages learning, progressive growth in vocabulary as well as independance fom having to ask her parents,"what, this word say mommy "the Leap Frog does it all. When the child touches the page she hears the word articulated and enunciated for herself.

2 out of 5 stars Not as good as other Tag books   December 26, 2009

My 4 year old daughter received the Tag Reading System last year for Christmas and absolutely loves it. She has the Dora, Diego, Mermaid, Ozzie and Miss Spider tag books. We purchased the Tiana book because she has seen the new Disney movie and loves princess Tiana. I feel this book is not challenging enough for her. Its almost as if it was created in a hurry because it does not have all of the other features of her other Tag books. The other tag books have the story, as well as several games at the end that introduce and reinforce a variety of concepts. The games also offer three levels. The games that are incorporated throughout the story in the Tiana book are very simplistic and do no offer more challenging levels. There are also no games at the end of the story. I expected the book to offer more than just the story and simple New Orleans facts.

5 out of 5 stars Fun, Interactive Book   December 9, 2009

These Tag books are amazing! This is one of our first books, and they are so fun.

My 5 year old and 2 year old both enjoy this book. It, of course, tells the story of Disney's The Princess and the Frog, but there is so much more.

Each picture has something to say. Each part of the picture says something different or plays music. You can hear the characters' voices say things in addition to the story line text.

The Tag pen has various options for reading the story. It can read through the entire book, read it a page at a time, or read it as you touch each word.

My children especially like that several of the pictures play music in this particular book.

We haven't seen the movie (since it's not out yet), so I can't say how good the story line is. It's a fun book, though.
