Fun for all game November 5, 2009 Karen (Ohio, USA) My 11 year old daughter first played Bananagrams at school and just had to have one of her own. Basically, it's like Scrabble but each player has their own 'board' to play. You work at your own pace and can have casual conversation at the same time. A nice low stress game for my kids, ages 9-14 who usually end of arguing about rules during most games they play together. Everyone can work at their own level and still win! The bonus is, they learn from each other without even realizing it.
Another fine word game September 18, 2009 SallyC (Florida) 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
We liked the fact that although the rules of the game provide for a clear winner, the scoring is very simple and sensible. Playing rules are a little silly, but that's part of the fun.
Only small problem is that since each player requires his own "board" space, it takes quite a bit of table space.
banangrams August 9, 2009 loveaphid (Whitman, MA) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
I love this game and only gave durability a four because any game that is based on tiles is bound to lose pieces. The other issue is that there doesn't seem to be a scoring system which I think detracts slightly the fun. But otherwise I enjoy playing this game with a large group of people, and playing with words is always fun.
Bananagrams but twice the fun! July 25, 2009 Science guy (New York) 10 out of 10 found this review helpful
We found out about bananagrams from a friend of ours. ever since that its been a big hit for our family. We bought the jumbo set, which is two bananas. When you combine the tiles it makes the pile bigger which creates a longer and more complex game. Its a little more challenging because you get twice the tiles and have to make a bigger crossword.
Very Funn Game June 29, 2009 M. OBarto (Latrobe, PA USA) 4 out of 4 found this review helpful
This is a very fun game. My daughter first played at school in her English class. She liked it so much she asked for it for her birthday. Everyone in our family enjoyed it. It's at least as much fun as Scrabble. We bought the double set so we can play either single or double. It will also be helpful if we play with the extended family.
