| Customer Reviews: what can i say..it IS geotrax but... October 16, 2009 VickiVeil (Cincinnati, Ohio United States) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
You know...my grandson is 3 and he has loved his Geotown stuff since last Christmas when I took a chance to buy him a few pieces ...back then...everything was Thomas the Train...so I thought .. maybe he would like Geotrax. He did and still does. He plays with his Geotrax for HOURSSSSsss on end. So - what do you do? When its your first grandbaby...heck you buy more! LOL Right?
this particular Geo Trax...is woobly because it is seperated there in the middle where it closes up. It has fabric in it (representing water and a bridge)
and I felt like it is overpriced (I paid 25.00 plus for it)
Even when the grandson got it opened...
he looked disappointed...and he had looked forward to maw maw getting the Geotown Zoo!
(yes - he is very advanced for his age! LOL) what any grandmother says! heehee...
but he does know all the Geotrax stuff as we view it on the Internet...
I mean, I would probably buy it again.
I will probably buy more overpriced Geotrax stuff...
I am seldom disappointed with anything Fisher Price...
but this item...gets a low rating and
if you are watching your budget and its a toss up between
this and another item...get the other item.
great imaginative play toy October 6, 2009 Tina C. (St. Louis, MO USA) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
I have a 3 year old son and a 5 year old daughter and we have had this toy for almost a year. It was a christams present to go with some other Geo Trax sets we already had. I was worried about the fabric but it is very strechy and is still in perfect condition. sometime they pull it apart into two pieces but it pops back easily. This toy along with the other Geo Trax toys is a favorite at our house and is pulled out when ever the kids have friends over.
This toy does not have any electric parts. the kids have to move the trains themselves and make their own noises. I like that about this toy because it makes them use their imagination.
Son loves it but could be better quality July 7, 2009 lovemybulldog (Snoqualmie, WA) 4 out of 4 found this review helpful
My 3 year old son loves the Geotrax trains more than any of his Thomas trains or plain wooden tracks. Thank goodness since they're half the price! He picked this set and upon arrival, immediately went to work. He was busy for more than 40 minutes while I cooked dinner and cleaned. Heaven. Nothing keeps his attention that long.
I loved that the track folded in half without needing to take it apart every time. This will be a great set to take back and forth in the car or to Grandma's house. Unfortunately, our dog loves to "play trains" too, and she put a hole in the "soft" part of this set in the first hour. It wasn't that bad and doesn't appear to be an issue, but that part of the set was made a bit flimsy. For this age group, it should all be solid. Involving fabric in a toddler/young child toy is asking for trouble.
He got slightly frustrated that his other Geotrax trains easily derailed on the tracks, but it wasn't a deal breaker. He made it part of his game. He was also annoyed that the included train didn't make sounds. He's a little spoiled that most of his other sets all have lights and sounds.
Great for anywhere March 21, 2009 Courtney Gerhard (hazleton, Pa) 4 out of 4 found this review helpful
My 4 yearold son was put in the hospital due to pneumonia. This was great i had bought it for him for easter but since he was in the hospital i figured if would give him something to do it fit on the bed with him and he played with it for hours i had also brough a remote train from home that he could use with it and he used that train to push the one that came with it...it help soften the blow from being in the hospital.
fun but not that durable March 7, 2009 Darryn R. Meichsner (Plymouth, MA) 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
Bought this for my two year old son as an addition to the rest of his geotrack, plus great for trips to grammies house, the part that is not track is fabric and ripped two days after i got it, he wasnt rough with it just put trains inside for transport and fabric ripped...bummer
