Great toy, but beware of overpricing! November 11, 2009

Both the shuttle and the space rover are marvelous toys, virtually indestructible and boasting endless configuration possibilities. Beware, though, of extremely over-inflated prices for the combo package of shuttle and space rover together (Mega Rig Shuttle Mission Building System with bonus Space Rover). When I called Mattel they said it was meant to be sold for well under $100! They also confirmed that the combo package did not include any special or extra items that you could not get if buying the Mega Rig Space Shuttle and the Mega Rig Space Rover separately. Unless you find a merchant offering this at a fair price, you are way better off getting the two individually!

We got this for my son for Christmas. It has caused him to look for a lot of books on space at the library and has held up perfectly. It integrates well with the other Matchbox toys in this series and is easy for a 5 to 6 year old to manage without help.

we gave this as a gift to our 3 yr old grandson. it was an instant hit!
he had no trouble with all the interconnecting parts at all. you can do so much with this combination edition. we are glad we went for the combined set. this toy will recieve hours and hours of use.

Our 7 year old son wanted this for Christmas. Couldn't find it anywhere except on Amazon! Delivered in perfect condition and our son loved it! We had no idea that it has so many different toys and our son can create multiple variations of the shuttle. He especially likes the foot launcher for the rocket. Durable and many hours of play. He is still not bored with it.

We Love this toy and have many of the other mega rigs because of this one! It was our first one - a treat for giving up diapers - and since then we have also purchased the sub, the rescue copter, the shark ship, the snow monster, and the other piece to the space shuttle that launches into space. My 3 year old son plays with these daily. He loves that the pieces are all interchangable and he can create tons of different vehicles. We have had NO problems with these toys - Unbelievable in itself! Would HIGHLY recomend these toys to any parent.
