| Customer Reviews: Hours of Rainy Day Fun! November 2, 2009 Cassandra L. Bannerman My six year old daughter had a blast which is no small feat as craft projects usually only keep her entertained for a total of five minutes!!! It has been a lifesaver for rainy days and because each of the four included fairies takes a minimum of an hour for little hands to complete, it was also a sanity saver for me! I was extremely impressed how intently focused she became on matching the tiles to the correct number. I would definitely recommend ANY sticky mosaic project and look forward to getting our next set!
lots of fun for 5-year-old May 23, 2009 Simpson (Atlanta, GA) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
my 5-year-old daughter sits and works on these things for long periods of time and really enjoys doing them; I like the fact that they aren't messy like other art projects, i.e. paint. The stickers come off and then stick back on if you make a mistake.
Great craft & small motor development March 10, 2009 Renee (Boston, Ma) 4 out of 4 found this review helpful
We own 2 of these---Amazon has a decent price compared to the specialty stores that sell them for $25. This is great for kids 4+, maybe 3--I have one for my 5 & 8 yr old, they can work on it a little or a lot. Peel and stick the little blocks that coordinate with the numbers and you have a beautiful picture. Great gift!
Great fine motor practice January 6, 2009 Carol M. Risucci (North Carolina) 7 out of 8 found this review helpful
My daughter loves art projects and I thought this would be perfect for her. It is exactly as it's described- a bunch of multi-colored square foam stickers that correlate with numbers on cardboard-like "sticker by number" pictures of fairies. The trouble is, it's not really an "art" project but rather a following directions exercise. You can change the colors to suit your taste but you might not be left with enough colored squares (mosaics) to finish all the other pictures. Since each square has to be carefully peeled off from the backing, my 4 year old grew frustrated. Fine motor coordination is a must for all that peeling. My hands started to hurt after awhile. In the end, she lost interest and we probably won't finish it for some time. I think this is suitable for older kids who can't really draw but love art and fairies and want the end product. If you're a true artist, it's all about process- this kit fell short.
