 Great alternative to play dough October 11, 2009

I got this for my 4 year old based on previous reviews, and I have not regretted it. My son, 2 year old daughter, 3 year old nephew, and various friends and family love playing with this set. It's rather simple, but it has the unique factor going for it. When I saw the goo, I thought it would surely be messy, but it is actually much less clean up than playdough--plus, no need to worry about an ugly glob of mixed up colors because the dough only serves as a mold. My only complaint is that, when the martian matter runs out, it is almost cheaper to buy a whole new set than to purchase replacements. However, the starter kit lasted us quite a while and it is certainly no reason for me to stop buying them as gifts for all of the youngsters we know. I will end with one warning: be prepared to find countless little dehydrated alien carcasses when you least expect it!

My kids (boys 4 & 6) can't get enough of this. We originally bought this over a year ago and its still one of their FAVORITE things! Were just at a friends house yesterday and they spotted it there too and said WOw - you have ALien Martian Mattter too? They totally LOVE it!
