the costume was difficult to get in and out of and thus my son broke the zipper before he had the costume on for 5 minutes while he was trying to use the bathroom.

First we bought Spiderman Muscle costumes from Target ($19.99) by Disguise Spiderman Muscle Costume, Size: Child S(4-6)
These were horrible!
1) they were too small. My 5 year old couldn't fit into the costume labeled as Size 7-8, it only fit my 3-year old son;
2) the seams were really bad--they broke as my son was trying the costume (but the mask was too small even for him!)
3) the eye-holes were too small and I was thinking of cutting them bigger so that my child could see the world! (Look at the picture, you will see that)
So we returned them back and after some search bought a pair of the costumes from Custom Craze through Amazon.com.
We received the order today and are very happy about the costumes. The very first thing we noticed that the colors are darker--differently colored from the costumes we bought in Target or those available in Walmart and other places.
These costumes are also by Disguise, but surprisingly, they are much better made, the seams are well done. No tears so far.
Finally, the masks had mesh eye holes so no problem here, though the mask again tends to be a little too small.
We also bought Spider man pails --great additions to their costumes.
Because we noticed that costumes run little we bought size 7-8 for our 3 year old son and size 10-12 for our 5 year old. The costumes fit almost perfectly --they are little long but we managed to fold pants and sleeves, so hopefully they will be able to wear until the next year for their play and hopefully in October 2010.
Overall, good purchase for the money! I recommend this costume.

Just received this in the mail and it is great. The one issue is the size. My just-turned-4-year-old is 44 inches tall and slender, and we ordered a child 7-8. It is a little long in the legs and arms, but it is just right in the body size, and a little small in the mask. There is no room at all for growth. I think he would have been better in the next size up. So, order a few sizes larger than you think you should!

My son age 3 loves his Spiderman costume. It seems well made and is even washable. It was a good buy.
