best i've used June 7, 2009 MariaT I have a digital camera that runs on AA and I need to keep a lot on hand to change out often. With these batteries I am swapping batteries much less often as they seem to hold a charge much longer. Very satisfied.
Very good June 5, 2009 RSRCHB4UBY (CA USA) I use quite a few Eneloop low-self-discharge batteries: AAs in my Canon S5 IS and some toys, AAAs in Harmony 659 and Dish remotes. I really like how these rechargeables keep the charge for very long time.
These Sony low-self-discharge batteries were on sale, and I decided to give them a try because of the price. In my opinion, they are just as good as Eneloops.
Awesome April 12, 2009 J. Griswold (Michigan) Love the batteries, just as dependable as the eneloops. Since prices fluctuate all the time, just buy the cheaper of the two, between the eneloops or the sony's.
Good Qaulity March 13, 2009 AD Kidd (California) These rechargeable batteries were perfect for my Sony digital camera. They came fully charged out of the package, and worked perfectly in our existing Sony battery recharger. They can also be charge fully up to a 1000 times, about 3-4 years worth of life. I am very satisfied with these batteries, and happy that I can take a lot more photos.
These are re-branded Sanyo Eneloops - and not the best batteries you can get. March 11, 2009 K. Topitzes (Earth) 5 out of 11 found this review helpful
First, as was pointed out in the comments in response to Chris Sebastian's review below, these are simply re-branded Sanyo Eneloop batteries. As someone who once loved Sony and then realized that they are far more interested in your money (or in installing DRM on your computer without your knowledge) than in selling you a quality product, I now "vote" with my wallet and avoid Sony at all costs - and so would recommend you get the original Eneloop batteries instead (hence my giving 3 stars).
Second, the "best" battery depends on what it's used for and how soon it is used after being given a full charge (days vs. weeks vs. months). For a better explanation of this, see this article [ http://www.gaiageek.com/tech/gadgets/the-best-aa-rechargeable-batteries ] which includes info on the Sanyo Eneloops and other low self discharge batteries as well as the best "standard" NiMH rechargeables. The Eneloops are very good for low self discharge batteries, but not the best, if that's what you're looking for.
