 Great toy for "Cars" lovers September 27, 2009

I purchased this toy for my almost-three-year-old son who just loves "Lightning McQueen." Good purchase. It was a little smaller than I expected, but pretty easy to put together (for me). Once I did it, I was able to remember and do it without the directions. It will take my son longer to get it, but he has fun helping me put it together and take it apart. One reviewer said that he had trouble keeping the "smokestacks" in place, and that is absolutely true for us, too. I just put them aside so they don't get lost and son does not mind. All in all, good purchase, and worth the money.

When he had all the pieces that is. Keep the instructions, you will need them to rebuild this guy over and over again. This was a great toy to give my son but soon all the pieces were hard to keep track of and that is sad because it was really cool when it was put together. The pieces are very durable, there are quite a few chocking hazard pieces in there though.

My son is in love with Cars so I knew he would love this toy. He always goes to get Mac and Lightning when he watches the movie which is almost daily. It's kind of hard for him to get Mac back together by himself once he's broken him down so my husband glued a few of the smaller pieces to him permanently. No harm done! Great toy for a kid that loves Cars and building things.

Apparently this was released during the last holiday season; I don't know how I missed that. Mack is my son's absolute favorite character and we have anything "Mack."
This building set does not disappoint. My son is 3-1/2 and after I showed him one time, he could put Mack together by himself and even hunt for the right pieces among the other two Megabloks Cars sets which are all in the same bin.
Once assembled, McQueen and Mack are both sturdy enough for normal play. It is obvious that Megabloks worked hard to design and produce these Cars sets to be as authentic as possible.
Highly recommended -- if you know a Mack enthusiast, don't think twice to get this, it is excellent.

My son received this toy for his 4th birthday, and he is still playing with it a lot six months later. The toy is very durable and relatively easy to assemble after going through the building process a few times. My son learned to assemble the Mack truck by himself after he and I built it together a handful of times. Building this truck has given my son confidence in his building skills and has helped increase his attention span during play. These new skills have helped him transition into building many things with the much smaller Legos, though he still loves playing with his Mack and McQueen Mega Bloks set.
