Bought this for my (at the time) 2 yr old and she loved it! The chunky little people were easy to handle for her. She still plays with it now, at 4 sometimes. We will be passing it on to our 11 month old when she turns 2.

I purchased this toy for my daugther's 2nd birthday and she has played with it everyday for a month. I would highly recommend this toy. She will literally sit and play by herself for up to an hour. Some days she doesn't want to leave the house b/c she wants to play with the dollhouse. The people are the perfect size and easy to handle. I toyed with the idea of getting the more expensive dollhouse and letting her grow into it but I'm glad I didn't. This one is the perfect size and she knows exactly how to play with it. I love seeing her use her imagination! She incorporates other toys (weebles, little people, cars) that she didn't really play with before while playing with this toy.

I purchased this dollhouse for my daughter's 2nd birthday and she loves it. It is durable and very cute. The 3 figurines that it comes with are chunky so she won't swallow any small pieces. Worth the price and is a great gift.

I recently purchased this toy for my 2 year old granddaughter. She has never had a toy that conquered her attention but this one does. She plays with it on a daily basis and refers to the dolls as "my mommy" "my daddy" and "my baby".
When I ordered this item, the description stated there were sounds and this resulted in returning the first doll house, because it had no sound, and receiving a replacement which did not have sound either. In checking directly with Fisher Price, I found they stopped making the houses that make sounds in 2005. Amazon has now updated this page to reflect that information.
In the Dallas-Ft. Worth area, Wal-Mart and Target do not carry this item nor do they carry the furnishings. Toysrus is the only place I have been able find them though, with Christmas coming, this could change.
Amazon has the furniture, however, I bought the grandma and stroller set at Toysrus considerably cheaper than listed here at Amazon. The other furniture, however, is relatively priced on Amazon and taking into consideration taxes and driving to a store, I would suggest purchasing online.
Fisher Price has a newer, bigger dollhouse which is similar in contrast to "My First Dollhouse", however, for a 2 year old, the pieces are more complicated and harder for a little one to keep up with.
"My First Dollhouse" is a wonderful introduction to playing house, and the perfect first dollhouse for any child.
