Customer Reviews: Okay toy but not as good as it looks March 29, 2009 Arizona lady 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
Seems like a good idea, but pricey for what it is. The string is not long enough. I know you have to worry these days about safety, and everyone is out to protect children and all that, but that means sometimes toys are just impractical. Make the string a few inches longer so you can actually hold the magnetic pen properly and you can actually reach all parts of the toy !
The carved out wooden channels are also too wide and you can almost move two balls through them at once.
My 2-yr old tires quickly as he quickly figures out puzzles - this one was just boring to him.
not exactly as described March 21, 2009 cindyt (South Texas) 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
This was much smaller than it appears in the picture. I purchased it for my 2-year-old grandson. the magnetic pencil is on a very short string and the magnetic balls are really small. He was not able to work it with confidence, even after many, many tries. I don't recommend this for a small child. It seems to me more of a car toy for a bored 1-3rd grader.
