Perfect Playmat November 18, 2008 I bought this playmat for my daughter when she was 2 weeks old. My older son hated the surfboard playmat we bought for him. So we decided to give this one a try since it seemed to have a lot of activities on it. My daughter loves it! My son, who is 2 now, even likes to play with it!!!! LOL!! My daughter's favorite is the zebra tail. At about 2 month old, she learned to roll over so she could grab a hold of it! She loves looking at the lights and the leaves. It is a very cute mat. Once my daughter learned to crawl at 5 1/2 months old, she no longer had an interest in it. :( So I put an ad for it on Craigs List and within the hour it was already sold because it is so cute! Also, I had never once had to change the batteries in it.
Great play gym!! November 2, 2008 Our son loves this!! He really started liking it around 2 months, with the lights at the top. He would just keep looking at them, and, as he's gotten older, he continues to love it. It was great for when he was first learning to reach - there's a little monkey who's tail curves around a small loop, and, that's when I noticed he was learning to reach for things - he was determined to get the monkey! Now, and 5 1/2 months, he pulls down the monkey within the first minute of setting him under, but, he still loves it, although is starting to outgrow it a bit, as he now rolls over on his belly, and ends up kicking at the long bars that hold it together, but, even given that, it still holds up amazingly well.
Love it October 16, 2008 My son loved this from the day we brought him home from the hospital and we haven't even used the lights/melodies part of it yet. Its a great gym. However, if you have a hardwood floor, I would recommend laying something soft down underneath the mat but I have no complaints.
Favorite baby toy October 12, 2008 This play mat is fabulous. My daughter has been playing on it since she was two weeks old and would watch me jingle the elephant rattle and swat around near it. Now at four months, she has played on this every day. She recently figured out the mode where you have to continue hitting and kicking things to keep the music going and was immensely proud of herself. She will even entertain herself on it while I make my breakfast in the morning for twenty minutes. We also use it for tummy time when she loves reaching for the crinkle leaf and watching her reflection in the mirror. This mat has been a better buy for us than the swing or bouncy seat in terms of our daughter's enjoyment. We added a couple of Lamaze toys and switch them out every once in a while to keep things fresh. My only complaint is that I have never heard of a giraffe living in the rainforest, but I don't think my infant has noticed (lol).
LOVE this gym............ October 8, 2008 We bought this for my son when he was 3 months old. He LOVES it. He plays with this quite a few times a day. My only complaint is that it is really hard to store away. It doesn't fold up to the way it was when I got it. Other than that,it was worth every penny. The toys are great attention grabbers for a baby.
