It does look like durable toy, but I had expected something more impressive for $15. I actually ran in the store for comparable trucks at around $10.
Devon's first truck ... and it doesn't need gas!!! April 29, 2008 Betty L. Dravis (Silicon Valley, CA) 8 out of 15 found this review helpful
I was feeling upset about the economy as I watched those big, shiny trucks wheel around the mall in Washington, D.C. yesterday. I empathized with the truckers who were in D.C. to protest the high cost of gas. It's hurting not only their business but other businesses and every family in the world, with the trickle-down effect resulting in higher costs of everything ... from food to stamps.
While watching the trucks rumbling along, the cacophony of well-tuned motors and blaring horns soon took on the sound and feel of a parade; my mind wandered from the sad nature of their visit and began to enjoy the sight. The rows and rows of beautiful machines--their colors sparkling like gem-stones--was an awesome sight to behold ... a powerful sight. I suddenly felt a wave of genuine love for those truckers--who had obviously worked hard to beautify their trucks for this united effort. This was their day, their one big chance to send a message to Congress and to the world that gas prices MUST come down. My heart swelled with pride, similar to when I watch a military parade.
Now wasn't that a long way of getting around to this toy truck? Well, while watching the trucks parade around Washington, it dawned on me that my grandson, Devon, doesn't have a toy truck yet ... plenty of little cars, but no trucks.
That situation would have to change, so I wandered around Amazon until I found this dump truck. I remember my son AND daughters enjoying similar dump trucks as toddlers, so I felt this was a good starter truck for our little sweetheart. I like the bright, cheery colors, and even though the ad says "colors may vary," I'm certain Devon will like it when it arrives.
Since it's just being shipped, I can't testify to the quality but I trust this maker and have had success with their toys in the past. Also, all reviewers have given it five stars, so I know that I--and more importantly, Devon--are going to be quite happy with my choice.
Another advantage is that this truck does not need gas! A problem Devon need not worry about for years ... and, hopefully, never!

Fun truck for toddlers October 9, 2007 Vilia Ann Payne 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
My 18-month-old son loves that book "The Happy Man and His Dump Truck", so we wanted to get him his own dump truck to play with. Now it's one of his favorite toys. It's sturdy enough for a toddler but light enough to roll easily. It comes with a man and woman inside the cab that he can take out and play with separately. The truck is also nice and big so it doesn't get lost under the sofa.
Martin's new favorite truck! September 27, 2007 J. Houghton (UK) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
My 21-month old son, Martin, just received this dump truck from his grandmother, and he loves it!!! He loves to drive it around, and throw it around so he can watch the people fall out of it! Thankfully, this truck is made out of a soft plastic so I do not worry about the truck damaging my furniture or floors! He likes this truck so much, that his grandmother is looking into getting him more toys made by this same company.

Great toy. My 20 month old son loves playing with it and the little people that come along with it as well. It's durable and has no sharp or pointy corners. He also has the chubby tractor and bulldozer.
