Would be a Fabulous Toy If It Was Made Better November 9, 2009 Jessica (Fairfax, VA United States) Based on the other reviews we purchased this laptop for our two year old son. When he opened it, he was super excited and absolutely loved it. There are certainly a good variety of activities that the toy can perform and we could really see how a toddler could enjoy using this toy for at least a couple of years. The big problem though is that the sound gave out after a couple of weeks even though it was not harshly treated. When we opened the laptop, we found a loose wire that should be easy to reconnect but it is still a little disappointing to have the toy work properly for only a couple of weeks - especially a toy that our son was really enjoying.
Great-Grand Son is Thrilled! November 3, 2009 A. Gholston (San Francisco, CA) I purchased this for my Great-Grandson's 3rd birthday last month.
My Granddaughter called and said it is the coolest thing she has seen. She has 3 children under the age of three so this will be getting a great work-out. There are a variety of programs to help with numbers, letters, colors, etc. Just the things that you want a preschooler to learn. The price was right and as usual, Amazon delivered on time and gift wrapped.
Great for imitating mom October 31, 2009 reg (Houston) We have purchased several toys during my grandson's short 28 months that have allowed him to grow into the toy. He can't do everything when he first gets it, but over time, he can do more and more. This definitely increases the life of the toy. This computer is that type of toy. His mom has to spend a fair amount of time on a computer. He has pretended by "typing" on a table, so I thought this might add to his pretend play. I knew the activities would be beyond him, and they are, but he has a ball pretending to type on it. He does know how to turn it on and off, but anything else is an accident. We hear "Select an activity" repeatedly. This doesn't frustrate him, just adults listening to it! He loves carrying it around and setting up his office. We have several Vtech books that have held up quite well, so I can seem him using this for many years to come. He may not want to pass it down to his 4 month old cousins. They may have to get their own!
Worth the money October 6, 2009 Arnold Ali (NYC, NY) For the price, this is a good buy. However, I wish the screen was bigger and that it illuminated. It is very hard for my little one to see the screen and it is kind of difficult for him to get to the various games and options. Overall the toy is sturdy and has many options.
Toy for Toddlers September 17, 2009 Monique Mellisa Brown 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
I had no idea that there were different types of Tote n' Go Laptop. My son had one, similar colour and everything but somehow it stopped working because he kept on dropping it. So I decided to buy another. When the product come, it was totally different from the first one....it sounded different and the keyboard was different. My son hates the product and never uses it. I wish I could find the original one that he had and enjoyed so much.
