Not as expected November 15, 2009 J. Bossalini (Frisco, TX United States) UPDATE: These are high-capacity batteries **NOT** low self-discharge batteries. I did not know the difference at the time of purchase, and the description does not make that clear. If you are a casual battery user and want batteries that will sit on the shelf and stay charged, make sure you buy LSD batteries, typically around 2000 mAh. The "pre-charged" rechargeables are a quick sign that they are LSD (Kodak, Enloop, even Duracell).
Quick summary: will not hold a charge for more than a very short time when not in use. Stay clear of these if you are not looking to use them immediately after charging!
I've had excellent experience with the Cyber-shot labeled batteries from a handful of Sony point-and-shoots and decided to give these a try last December, 2008. I received both this pack and the charger for Christmas and looked forward to finally having enough rechargeables around the house to end our dependence on regular batteries. I was wrong. These batteries perform well when freshly charged. But, if you are looking for batteries that you can charge ahead of time and leave them sitting, ready to use at any time, stay clear. I'll charge them up (using a Sony charger) and will come back to them a week later and they are completely dead. Pretty much useless. These are Silver with Orange ends. My Cyber-shot batteries (blue with orange ends) are years old and still perform well. Very disappointed is these new ones.
Long lasting, great product October 3, 2009 Kamran G. (Washington, DC) I sometimes use these for weeks in the camera without having to change them. I've been using this brand and model for several years. It took over two years for the first set to wear out (and not hold a charge well).
After some month you have to charge it the day you need it October 1, 2009 Eduardo Cominguez (Buenos Aires Argentina) The title says it all. I have Varta batteries that have more than 5 years, and still work greate, every sony has now this problem, they don't last 2 days charged. Several (I have more than 20) at 3 month were useless, or at least that says the sony charger, where the LCD flash saying that you have to replace it. Go for eneloop instead of this one, or if you like sony, I believe that Sony has the equivalent of the eneloop. Ihave Sanyo eneloop, since one year ago, and I can use it even in a flash lite, where stays there with no use, but when you turn it on, it works!, you don't have to go to the charger and wait for having some light.
Camra battery September 29, 2009 Marvin (Indiana) I bought these batteries for my Sony digital camara. The battiers are high energy and will give you about 24 pictures per pair so with four you should be abel to take 48 photos. The one draw back is the high energy only last a short time. What this means is you can not charge them and let them lay around for several days you will quickly find they have lost about 25 percent of power they had and will not activate your camara. This can be a problem if you plan on taking them on a hike or perhaps several days drive. You will find your top charge will last about 12 hours and decline rapidly their after. I hope this review will help you make the very most of your battiers and save you some aggrivation.
Very good capacity September 16, 2009 Aleksandar Ivanov Very good capacity! For a month of use in my camera I have charged them just once (about 2000 photos -canon A480)
