Product Description The Professional 600 Series is KitchenAid's most powerful stand mixer. Redesigned for the serious home baker, this powerful stand mixer features a 575-watt motor with a heavy-duty transmission and a 6-quart bowl combined to give you the power and capacity to mix 13 dozen cookies, 8 pounds of mashed potatoes and more than 8 loaves of bread. KitchenAid's unique planetary mixing action provides faster, more thorough blending of ingredients all the way to the edge of the bowl without ever rotating it. The rugged, all-metal quality construction and commercial-style motor protection assure a long life of trouble-free, dependable and quiet operation. Other features include a professional style bowl-lift that makes it easy to lift the bowl into the mixing position, a 10-speed slide control that ranges from a very fast whip to a very slow stir and a power hub for use with attachments (sold separately). Included with the stand mixer: a stainless flat beater, PowerKnead spiral dough hook (designed to replicate hand-kneading to handle 20 percent more dough than previous models), a professional wire whip and pouring shield.

Kitchen Aid Professional 600 March 21, 2010 J. M. Ross We just replaced a 20 year old KitchenAid mixer (375 W) with the 600 Pro model. It cuts through the thickest, heaviest, grains with absolute ease. KitchenAid still needs to work on the bowl holder set up (it rocks back and forth while mixing). We got a great value and it shipped quickly.
It's a dream! March 19, 2010 B. Chase (Riverside, RI USA) KitchenAid KP26M1XNP Professional 600 Series 6-Quart Stand Mixer, Nickel Pearl
I bought this KitchenAid mixer for my wife as a Christmas present. She'd said that she's been wanting one forever, and now that we have a house to put it into instead of the cramped apartment, it was something that i just had to deliver to make her Christmas one to remember. She was extremely excited when she unwrapped it on Christmas morning.
The first thing she made was meatloaf. This may not sound like a major feat, but you don't know my wife. She has a major major fear of cold raw meat. So you can imagine my surprise when i came home to meatloaf. She was so proud of the fact that she didn't have to use her hands to mix it. I of course was happy with that because i knew that i wouldn't have to mix it myself anymore.
When ask if someone wanted advice about buying this KitchenAid mixer she simply stated, "Hell Yeah!" She went on to exclaim, "It's the best appliance that i own! Why wouldn't someone buy this?"
Overall, she's in love with this machine. She loves to use it for the aforementioned meatloaf, as well as all sorts of desserts and the like. I cannot wait to see what types of things she makes for this upcoming Christmas!
Love it! Powerful and beautiful. March 19, 2010 M. Hamel (New Mexico) My hands aren't strong enough to knead bread and the bread machine wasn't working for me. This works well and makes the bread-making process so much easier!
Mixer Melee March 17, 2010 G. Nelson (WY) I haven't done a huge amount of work with my mixer...but so far so good! I bought this because I am getting into the cake business, and I needed a mixer that could stand up to mixing all of the icings. So, if it passes that test, it will be a five star for sure.
Great! March 16, 2010 Olivia I think this is a great mixer. It is big enough yet will do small jobs also.
