 No-frills but Very Effective November 5, 2009

I highly recommend this product. This tool provides many options to learn basic math facts without the noise and commotion associated with other electronic learning products. Start up is very fast making it easy to do an exercise at any time. It can be operated in silent mode so it can also be used anywhere.
There is also a way for parents to monitor problem areas, so parents can make sure additional help is targeted. Carry it anywhere and see improvements in no time.

FlashMaster is the most educational and fun toy that you could ever imagine. Kids of all ages have fun just trying to remember how it is to time themselves and how fast they can do it in. I would recommend the FlashMaster to any one it's fun to have around, try it you'll love it!

It does what it says. "Fun?" Uh . . . no. It's math. My kids use it but get bored only in a little more time than when using flash cards. I don't use the FlashMaster much anymore. I can see where it may be useful during travel.
Another good alternative are math worksheets you can find for free on the web by Googling "math worksheets." Put a little time pressure on your kids for completion so they get out of the habit of counting on their fingers.

this is an awesome product!! my kids love it!! my daughter won't put it down!! It has helped her math drastically!! get it now!! you won't regret it!! but i have one suggestion for you though.. don't buy it here.. the flashmaster has it's own website!!!! and it's only $50!!!!!! now go buy it!!!!!! i did!!! oh!! and their shipping is lightning fast!!!!

I purchased this for my first grader to help with addition and subtraction, it is small and easy to use. We bring in the car on long trips along with his gameboy and he uses both for entertainment. There are different settings that he is timed or does as many as he can in 1 minute. The good thing about this is it also has multiplication and division for my older son so he can use too.
