Product Description A peeler's only as good as its blade, right? So OXO, with its clever design team, developed a blade that can always be sharp. Not only is the cutting edge on their extra long stainless blade precision ground, like a fine knife, for a sharper edge, it's also replaceable. And of course you get the non-slip comfy grip you expect from an OXO tool.

Wonderful! November 3, 2009 Gardener (Portland, Or) This is the BEST peeler I ever had, after using it awhile, I bought 2 more just for extra, surprisingly, the blade is still sharp after a couple years, use it daily as I cook professionally. I would recommend this very highly!
A great pealer September 13, 2009 Peggy Jentoft (La Mirada, Ca United States) I had pretty much given up peeling potatoes because of Arthritis but this peeler is the easiest one to use that I have ever found.
Soft grip makes it easy to hold has a handy little point on the end that is the best eye removing device ever. not only is it very effective at peeling potatoes and carrots it makes a chore easy and almost fun.
Great Kitchen Tool May 2, 2009 Lynn Russell (Kansas City) I purchased this for my husband who is the "chef" in our home. He is 65 and loves the ease of use of the peeler. It has an easy, comfortable grip and works great! The older ones just sit in the drawer now. He only uses this peeler.
Simply the best. April 22, 2009 Wood Wren (U.S.A.) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I have to admit that I have a thing about potato peelers. I think it goes back to the days when I was a little girl and my sister, who was and still is, a little snit, would always weasel her way out of this chore and leave me stuck with it. Anyway, I have spent many years trying to find the perfect peeler and I think I may have just struck the mother load with this one. I have been using it for quite some time now; it is used at least once daily, sometimes more and I could not be happier. I have exactly 14 different peelers in my kitchen drawers, casualties from my restless search. (Yes, that is true...I counted them just a few minutes ago). They have all been retired now.
This peeler is sharp; it actually glides through the peel of a potato and the handle is so comfortable I would probably marry it if I were so inclined to marry anything. I use this one on carrots, potatoes, cucumbers, radishes and turnips. This peeler works equally as well on all of them.
If I had one thing to change about this particular peeler, I would suggest that they lengthen the thing at the end and make it narrower as this would make it easier to remove the eyes and bad places on potatoes.
As a side note: The last two times I was brave enough to have supper at my sister's home (eating her food is like having lunch at a toxic waste dump and I avoid it as much as possible), I noted that she had her husband peeling the potatoes! Poor guy, I know how he must feel....I plan to buy one of these and give it to him next Christmas as a stocking stuffer.
Excellent product and I very much recommend this one!
Easy to use peeler April 19, 2009 Y. Chang (Ann Arbor, MI USA) This peeler is easy to hold and use. The blade is sharp and peels easily. Also, the corer thing at the end is very helpful to dig out the potato "eyes".
