We bought this item because it was advertised as a great gift for a 1yr old.
(in fact we got Tad and Lily, so each of the twins would have one) We found that the noise that the toy makes is great, and they really like the noise, however, if the noise stops they get frustrated since they don't know how to turn it on.
Their older sister however, who is four years old loves it! She also loves the fact that it teaches her spanish if she listens to both versions. We recommend this toy highly for those with children 2+ Kids any younger than that will simply get frustrated and lose interest.

this is a great toy, and very good value. my son loves to chew on it and although it started to annoy me he loves the songs in both spanish and english. It was alot better when i found the volume control on the battery packet inside tad.

This is a cute toy. I bought it for my son when he was around 9 months old. He loved it for about a month. It's cute and colorful, and it sings. But it only sings the alphabet. After awhile, it gets old for kids and parents alike. For the money though, it's a pretty good deal on an educational toy.
