great educational toy that should have come with a lid November 8, 2009 N. Basumallick (Bowie, MD) got this for my two year old who is learning colors and shapes. like everything about it except that it doesnt include a lid so storing it is annoying.
Excellent toy for kids with autism and ocd and adhd October 18, 2009 Cassandra Thomson (Idaho Falls, Idaho USA) I have a young child 8 who has many difficulties this toy and others like it really help her to calm down when other things do not work. We are very happy with this purchase.
Best Mind Expander (so far) for my 4 year old September 22, 2009 Alica Cochran (Kansas City) The first night we opened this, my 4.5 year old played with it for 3 hours straight, which was very unusual for his 1/2 hour attention span. I love the fact it has endless possibilities for designs. He liked the pre-design boards, but likes creating his own designs better. We also had the same problem as an earlier review about the pieces not staying together, but I use a cookie sheet with a silpat (Silicone Non-Stick Baking Mat) under it so it will not slip. We could have also used foam non stick sheets (sold with the contact paper in a department store).
Great toy! September 13, 2009 C. M. Luthanen (Indiana, USA) Ok, so I bought this for my three year old. I really enjoy sitting down with her and playing with this. She can match up the pieces on the designs provided, but we also take them and make our own designs on the floor. There are a lot of pieces to work with--she doesn't run out very quickly. It allows for a lot of creativity, and it's suitable for a range of ages. So far it's provided numerous hours of fun. I do wish it had a lid.
Good looking toy, difficult to play July 6, 2009 R. Vishnumurty This is a nice, colorful toy, but when it comes to play, it does not work so well. The blocks do not stay on the pattern and slides away with slightest shake, so kid has to be very cautious when placing them. Apart from that, the blocks are really good and my son loves playing just wih different shapes and placing them on floor. It would have been nice if board had some grove or sticky pad on which blocks can be placed.
