Editorial Review
Are you clicking yet? Play dominoes! It isn't just one game, as many people think--there are many games and variations at many skill levels. Domino sets vary in size and complexity, according to the number of dots. This big Double Twelve set has 91 domino pieces, and each piece has from one to 12 color-coded dots at each end, or no dots (blank). The pieces can be used to play 16 different games; instructions for all the games are included. Made of a heavy white, ivory-like plastic, the pieces are 2 inches long, 1 inch wide, and .3 inch thick, and they store neatly in their case. --Richard Farr

5 out of 5 stars The Timeless fun of Train   November 1, 2009
Jennifer F. Baumstein (Providence, RI)
Mexican Train - though the name is verging on totally offensive - is a great game for an older audience. I am in my mid 20s and recently learned how to play, and try and encourage as many of my friends as possible to ... join the "train". We work to make amazingly elaborate and beautiful trains and take photos of the final product to, when we have enough photos, make a train table. I love this game and think all should learn it from someone who knows how how to play. It can be complicated to learn, so that's my one request.

Cardinal Double 12 Color Dot Mexican Train Dominoes in TinThe problem is, the pictures that customers have uploaded indicate that the set is a JUMBO dominoes 12. However, the set is only a standard size. The game is great for young people and grownups alike.

4 out of 5 stars Only slight flaws   October 9, 2009
Jeff Abes
This product did allow my wife and I to start playing Mexican train right away, which is what we were looking for. A couple of tiles had black ink stains on them - was there a brief dye problem at the factory? - but almost all were in good condition. There were 4 little plastic train tokens included, but enough spaces on the center piece for more than 4 players. Any small object could be used for tokens, though, so this is not much of a problem. The colors of the spots on the tiles were a close match to the picture on the box, but not an exact match. Overall, this domino set will get you playing at low cost, but it's not as pretty as other more expensive sets out there.

3 out of 5 stars Like the game, not the colors   July 31, 2009

I recently purchased this product and I am disappointed with the colors. I purchased a set about 4 years ago, and the colors were much more vivid. The colors on the recent ones I purchased are mostly dull and dark shades, not at all like the colors they put on the front of the tin. Hope they redo their colors in the future.

2 out of 5 stars Game Essentials Double Twelve Color Dot Dominoes with Mexican Train (Purchased on 02/06/2009)   March 21, 2009

The Quality is OK but not great--tiles are thin (tip easily) and the metal box containing them was all dented because the shipping packaging was completely inadequate to protect the metal container. The tiles seem roughly made.
