5 out of 5 stars LOVEDDDDD THIS BOOK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!   November 23, 2009
hippie chick (usa)
I absolutely am IN LOVE with this book. I consider myself to have a "close" relationship with God, but I shy away from "religion". Reading this book was not only heart wrenching, warming and thoughtful, it really has made me FEEL closer to God, and yearn for a closer relationship with him. It really broke down how God would feel about us, and how much love and compassion GOD has for us. I reccommend this book to everyone, and I was always will. There are no words to describe how much I care about this book. I just finished, and im debating re-reading it again!!!

1 out of 5 stars so, so boring   November 23, 2009

I was really disappointed because I'd heard such great things about this book. But it was so dull I could not even force myself to finish it, and that is very unusual for me. I found it slow, boring, and preachy.

Anyone who calls themselves a Christian should read this book, it is an excellent book and so wonderfully full of trurhs. It says that it is a work of fiction but I really wonder.

This book is about forgiveness and redemption. It presents a view of God and the Trinity in a very different way, which I found quite delightful and interesting. I read it through fast intitially for the story and to get a feeling for the meaning, then again for a better understanding of the content which I found very deep.
I enjoyed the book immensely.
