3 out of 5 stars Number Devil Not for MAC   November 5, 2009
Mary E. OConnor (Cupertino, CA)
I was disappointed that, in spite of the label saying it would work on a MAC, it didn't. I contacted the US distributor only to learn they were not expecting any more MAC versions. I have seen and played it on the PC though and loved it. I have a granddaughter who is using it and truly enjoying it and learning Math. I do recommend it.

1 out of 5 stars Didn't work on Mac   June 14, 2009

The CD that I received did not work on our Mac even though all the system requirements were met. It seemed to be only a PC version. I emailed Viva Media and they said that they were out of Mac versions! Anyway, I returned the product to Amazon. What a disappointment!

If you are looking to impress upon your child learning math goes far beyond getting through school with good grades this is the CD that will do it. The content is rather short and requires a good grasp of basic math skills.

This is a game based on the story of the same name. It is a well designed game for kids that are highly intelligent. The ideas introduced in the storyline make understanding even greater math concepts simple. But keep in mind, this is not a math blaster style game, this is for bright kids that have already gone past that

1 out of 5 stars boring   April 27, 2006

My daughter (13) and I tried The Number Devil together. She has ADD and has difficulty with math. We found the intro to be too long and the games boring. This game did not keep her attention at all. We also tried Math Blaster and would recommend that game instead. I am glad others have found this game helpful unfortunately it didnt for us.
