Gameplay
On the heels of winning 25 international gaming awards with FIFA Soccer 09, the top-selling soccer franchise from EA Sports is surpassed with FIFA Soccer 10. Responding to consumer feedback from over 350 million online games played, FIFA Soccer 10 gives players new levels of control and innovation to experience the beautiful game like never before. Featuring core gameplay refinements based on responsiveness and intelligence, on top of an already potent game engine, FIFA Soccer continues to set the benchmark as the most complete soccer simulation.

Key Game Features

  • Virtual Pro – Live out the fantasy of being a real life soccer player by creating yourself in game with a 3D head using Photo Game Face. Play as yourself across any mode. Grow your player attributes through 200 accomplishments and take your Virtual Pro online to become a global superstar.
  • Pro Club Championship – Create an online club with friends and play 10v10 against hundreds of thousands of Virtual Pros from around the World, with the top clubs battling it out to become Regional & World Champions.
  • New Practice Arena - Work on individual and team skills in a fully featured practice mode before stepping on the pitch. Select the number of attackers and defenders you want in play (e.g. 11v11, 5v5, or even 5v3), and practice in open play or from set pieces.
  • Customizable Set Pieces - Design and record your very own free kicks and corners on the training ground for use on match day to outwit your opponent. You have complete control over your players, with the ability to assign a specific movement to every outfield player on your team one at a time, and then combine them for the perfect set piece. Record them in the Practice Arena, then trigger then in game using the D-Pad.
  • 360° Dribbling - The first-ever true 360° dribbling system in a soccer game provides finer dribbling control, enabling players to find spaces between defenders that previously were not possible.
  • Skilled Dribbling - All-new animation warping technology provides unprecedented control. Skilled players now have the ability to face a defender and use highly-responsive lateral dribbling to skip past him.
  • Freedom in Physical Play - Wider dribble touches and new collision sharing creates a varied, less predictable, and extended fight for possession between the dribbler and a defender.
  • Manager Mode Authenticity - More than 50 major improvements were designed to create an authentic experience to mimic the real-world game. Match results are based on team and player strengths and weaknesses. Player transfers are determined by multiple decision points, including club finance and prestige, and competition from AI-controlled clubs. Player development is more realistic with true-to-life growth curves.
  • Refined Goalkeeper Intelligence — numerous improvements mean that goalkeepers now have more urgency and better perception of where to intercept loose balls, resulting in a more responsive and powerful rushing system. New animation warping technology provides game-realistic goalkeeper positioning and momentum, resulting in more varied scoring opportunities.

5 out of 5 stars Fun never ends!   November 15, 2009

Every year EA comes out with better game then the previous one, but this time not that it's only better, it is much harder to score and to win and you get the feeling like a real game..It's not enough anymore just to move the ball around and get to a position of scoring, you have to control the skills and become an expert if you wish to be better then others. One thing for sure, there will be always others who practice more then you to beat you but the fun never ends and you can play on like a real player all the way to the 90th minute.
Another extra that I was impress with is the options to play on to extra time or end the game in a draw once it's a tie, and the immediate option for rematch. All around it's a sheer joy for us Fifa gamers.. one warning though, you're about to get addicted! Cheers.

The game is so life like and so much fun to play. The manager mode is the one to play with all the pressures ans stress of real life football.

5 out of 5 stars Fifa 10   November 13, 2009

Awesome game!!!! probably the most realistic soccer games that has been created. They fixed most of the major flaws from Fifa 09 which is good, but there still are some little in-game flaws that really are unfizable. Sometimes you get called for a red card for barely touching a guy if you're the last man. Oh well, regardless it's a fantastic game

5 out of 5 stars Makes it impossible to go back to '09   November 12, 2009

I didn't know what to expect at first as far as improvements - but the control upgrades have changed the game. We still sneak a few games of '09 at work in when we have a break and you can really feel how clunky the controls were and how dynamic they are now.
I love it
Only warning is - be prepared to practice. This isn't a simple sprint and breakaway game. Learning the new moves is what makes the experience

4 out of 5 stars Shame on Konami and PES2010   November 10, 2009

I have been buying and playing PES since 1999 and I was thinking that the day where I will switch to Fifa will never come because Konami was giving me what i wanted in PES.. But since 2007 Fifa started to build a better game platform I did not buy fifa at that time and I got PES for 2008-2009 but this year I said I should see if Fifa will be a better game than PES as everyone was saying in the last year and here is my observation after playing both of the games:
- Game Play Simulation (This is the most important factor for me):
Fifa10 4.5 Stars
PES10 4 stars
Fifa feels much better an responsive the 360 dribbling is one of the best features in this game.. PES is still fell solid but I do not know it feels slower than previous PES and this is not realistic at all as Konami said.I want the player to pass a through ball when i press the button not waiting for 2 sec then do it..

- Graphics:
Fifa10 4.5 start
PES10 4 stars
Fifa feels cleaner and smother in terms of graphics for player ,pitch and stadium.

- Game Tactics:
Fifa 3.5 stars
PES 4.6 start
You will get alot more in the tactics and Team vision PES .

- Game menu Design Music Soundtrack ..etc
Fifa10 4.5 stars
PES10 2 stars

This is not a major issue for me but it will be nice if PES did spend one month more designing the menus better and licencing aging better music.

bottom line:
PES is not as bad as people said.. it is even better than last year PES but Konami did not show respect to us as gamers and it did not improve the game alot in the last 3 years.. people might say this hard but EA did an amazing job in 2 years.. for me I will not buy PES this year I will return the game to my friend and I will buy Fifa to support them and show them that they did a good job and they deserve my money..

I hope next year PES will be better bcz still nothing will top the old play style of PES.
