BUY JACK BRIDGE INSTEAD November 5, 2009 LAWRENCE O'DOUL 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
Started off with Bridge Baron. Had problems with bidding sequences and play of the hand. After reading results of the Computer World Championsips and saw that Jack Bridge was winning in most years switched over and I am glad that I did. The 2009 Computer World Championships was won by Jack Bridge and now it is releasing a new Jack 5 version. Jack 4 was great and it was updated without charge to Jack 4.1. There are no additional charges for the updates within versions. Frankly, there is no comparsion between the two progams and Jack is the winner hands down. Note, in the Bridge monthly publication there is a bidding challenge with humans and in the past it included Bridge Baron which invariably was last in the standings. Now, Bridge Baron has not been included, wonder why. As a Bronze Life Master would want Jack Bridge as my partner. Also, great product support. Playing 2/1 had a disagreement about a bidding sequence and sent an e-mail concerning whether a bid was forcing or not. Received a prompt response for Jack's justification which was well thought out from the program's developers. At the last tournament I attended chatted with a Gold Life Master (2500 points) who I had suggested to purchase the program. She agreed it was difficult to compete against Jack at the higher levels. If you are going to buy any bridge program consider the computer tournament results and check Jack out.
bridge baron 19 October 30, 2009 faithful A very annoying voice telling me how well I did was really driving me crazy and I couldn't find where to remove it. I emailed tech support and they were able to help me. They also had to help me find the correct switch to get a wider variety of deals -- I kept getting the same deals to the point where I had memorized them. There is insufficient manual support that tells you what each of the check marks does. Once those 2 things were taken care of, the rest is fine.Bridge Baron 19

I have another version of Bridge Baron (older) that is much quicker and more user friendly...this version does not respond as well....I would like to send it back........
Bridge Baron 19 September 28, 2009 James S. Heyward Why do I have to activate a product for which I have paid? It was for my wife, who does not have access to Internet but merely uses her laptop for bridge.
What is your purpose for activation?
Many choices of how to play... August 24, 2009 DGB (Boca Raton, FL, USA) This version has an incredible number of options which makes it much more interesting than Bridge Baron 13 (my last one), but it computes the moves very slowly on my notebook. After installing it in my notebook, I also installed it on my PC and find it works really well there.
