This is such a joke. No way to access menus, no instructions for the games. Graphics are ok IF you can figure out how to get to them!
Disappointing February 26, 2009 C. Baker (Phoenix, AZ USA) 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
Having changed to a MAC less than a year ago, I thought this was the only option for card games.
Compared to other software I used to use on my PC, this is disappointing. Very little flexibility, the characters you play are always the same and the Spades game in particular used the craziest logic ever.
Too much work... January 18, 2009 Mike (Boston) 7 out of 7 found this review helpful
I bought this for the Mahjongg and the Solitaire. In spite, of the "2,009" games come-on, there is only one Solitaire game ready to go. I suppose that I am now required to figure out how to create more versions of this myself. No manual came with the software and on-line "help" is not much help. I bought this to play games, not to figure out how to program games.
As for the Mahjongg, there seems to be a few more options than the Solitaire, but I have no idea how the games are suppose to work so what is the point? The game "instructions" offer me little instructions. I was a big Mahjong player elsewhere, so I am at a loss as to why I find these versions baffling to use.
If you are looking for a technical challenge, I am sure this software is fine. If you are looking to play some various games without the hassle, then this software is not for you.
OH yeah, one other thing...the software box says that it has a "5 Star Rating at Amazon.com". As of me writing this, there is only one other review writtten and it is for 3 stars. I was going to give 2 stars but now I am subtracting another one for misleading advertising.
addicted to solitaire and mahjongg September 21, 2008 always looking for a good read (Atlanta) 17 out of 17 found this review helpful
I got this games package because I was tired of finding free online games. And then getting distracted by all the flying advertisements and working in a tiny screen for the actual game.
I personally only use the mahjongg and solitaire games of the supposed 2,009 games. However, be warned that they count every slight version of a game as part of the 2,009 games total. But that is okay with me for the price. If you are addicted to playing even one of the 2,009 games. It is worth it.
There also is a nice feature that lets you increase the size using the display options inside the package. Now, if I can just stop playing when its bedtime...
