 I wish I could give no stars November 3, 2009

I was trying to find a cheaper alternative to Rosetta stone software and I decided to give this a try. However when it was first installed it did not work at all. Being a busy person, I tried to get it working when I could spare the time. I found a link on the manufacturer's technical support website that directed me to a software patch for a known issue where the product simply will not work with Windows vista. I downloaded and installed the patch hoping that it would help. It did to a point. However while it allowed me to get to the beginner's section, the next level no longer even appears. I was not in need of the true beginner's section since I spent a summer in Italy in high school and some of what I picked up then still remains in my memory. So the money I spent on this software was completely wasted and since I spent so much time trying to fix it with the various "fixes" and patches, I am unable to return it. Thanks Instant Immersion!

this program teaches you very little for the time it takes to go through it. say you want something repeated, didn't understand if a word had an "n" or an "m" in it. you have to sit through the entire phrase-presentation. it is kind of annoying.
