One of the best. September 11, 2009 J. Ridpath (Wichita, KS) This is one of the very best chess games I've played. Highly recommend to anyone who enjoys playing chess.
Fritz Software September 7, 2009 HD Viewer (Columbia, MD USA) I purchased this product for the purpose of getting account on playchess.
Package contains the code, so it is 3x cheaper than extend directly through playchess.
What a ridiculous market condition!!
Playchess is a rip-off with its 29EU/year.
Yes, it is Fritz 10.
Nice Program. But not the best. April 22, 2009 J. Choi (AZ) Let me just quickly say it in Pros and Cons:
Pros
-Database. 1 million games is enough, even for masters.
-Big opening book. If you're not really into that opening, just playing against it(e.g. A e4 player against the Winawer French)
-Training. Endgame, attack, defense, opening!
-Very good analysis program. It could act as a coach, you can solo-analyze(to enhance your skills) and then turn on Fritz analysis to see what was right and wrong.
-Strong engine. Don't even think about beating it, even Former World Champion Vladimir Kramnik lost to this program(although more precisely, he lost to Deep Fritz 10.)
-Not like Chessmaster, but has handicaps and sparrings.(different playing levels.)
-3-D board available. Quite neat.
-You get 1month membership of playchess!
Cons:
-You need a pretty good computer for this program. My 2005 IBM Thinkpad sometimes can't withstand this program.
-The trainings can be a little lame, no explanation whatsoever.
-The 3-D board is a little hard to see.
-Some features can be confusing to use; e.g. I struggled with unloading an engine for a while.
-It runs the CD everytime, I can be quite annoying if you are using a laptop.
There's not much more to say. In my opinion, this is a program I could live with for lifetime, but some minor adjustments could've made it a little better.

Maybe my graphic card was not good enough. I found this game to be very poor compared to Chessmaster programs
good program February 27, 2009 M. Savic (Chicago, IL USA) 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
It took me a little while to get used the interface. I used the CM series before. Overall very adaptive to your style of play.
