My Son Loves It November 16, 2008 J. Habart (Strongsville, OH) I got this for my son when he was about a year old. He loved seeing mommy tapping on her computer and wanted to play too. So I figured why waste money on those expensive child laptops? This game prevents any data loss while the child is playing. He played this for a YEAR. A YEAR! That's more playtime than kids get out of most toys! He's 26 months now and still likes to watch the fish swim around, but has developmentally moved beyond this.
The only thing I don't like is this: just because the target audience is children doesn't mean the creators should skimp on the graphics! I've seen so many poorly put together programs. This is one of them. But I think that's just the graphic designer in me talking. Over all my son loves it and that's what's important!
Now also in Spanish!!! August 13, 2008 Latina (Tucson, AZ) I don't own these products yet but was just in the company's website and they now offer these in both English and Spanish!!! You don't even need to buy them separate, they are both included at no additional charge. I don't know if the ones sold here are for this new version (I can't find mention of it in the description) but that was definitely the selling point for me. I'll probably be buying them from the company's website to be sure I get the Spanish included. Hopes this helps anyone who like me was hesitant because of the English-only feature.
Great game but.... April 7, 2008 Mom in Virginia (Virginia) I had great difficulty in installing this game on my computer. I eventually had to go on-line and download a patch from Giggles for VISTA users. Still my daughter (twenty months old) loves this game. It is very educational and entertaining. She enjoys this game so much that I have odered Giggles "ABC's and 1,2,3's." Hopefully, I will not have as painful a time installing this Giggles game.
WHY DIDN'T I THINK OF THIS?!?! April 4, 2008 K. Patterson (Los Angeles, CA) My 19 month old LOVES this software. He loves nothing more than to sit at our desk like a big boy and tap (and by "tap", I mean "pound") on our keyboard. The music is great, the colors are bright and it's just plain fun for him.
The only drawback comes with the screensaver. The screensaver itself is genius, but if you have the misfortune of running Windows XP, it's possible for your little one to hit the wrong key combination and cause a few problems. However, the screensaver is just for a deterrent to keep what you're working on from getting investigated by little typers, and hopefully you can catch them before they accidentally re-format your hard drive!
This software is great and I plan on buying any others they have. I would recommend this to anyone with babies and toddlers.
Very fun! February 20, 2008 Stefany J. Coalla (Miami, FL) My daugher, 11 months old, LOVED this software, mostly because she can press on all of the keys and they all make the program work. Some of the places you can go are more entertaining than others but they are all nice. She learned how to mimic a monkey from this software! The only problem I am having is that since my keyboard has buttons that will make certain functions work (i.e. volume, calculator, internet) if she touches any of them it will make that program pop up so I have to be careful she doesn't touch any of them. I suppose if you have a "normal, basic" keyboard you wouldn't have this problem.
