Product Description With 40 Years Of X-Men DVD, you've got a full collection of every X-Men story published in the last four decades. Almost 500 issues of the classic X-Men comics are reproduced here, from the very first issue in 1963 to August 2005 -- all in full color, from cover to cover. Explore a world where a small group of people are born with genes that give them super-powers. These "mutants" are hated and feared by humanity at large, and the X-Men come together to protect both mutants and human from prejudice and evil mutants alike. You'll get to follow their incredible adventures as they span four amazing decades.

nice September 9, 2009 Skyler Wilkey (Bartlett, TN USA) great product, seems to me that it is missing a few comics. could be my imagination i suppose
So Happy to Have This! August 23, 2009 Robyn L. Brown (Upstate New York) I've actually owned this disk for a few years, but totally forgot to write a review for it. And it's one of the favorite things I own!
Like most reviewers, I've been a fan for years. I used to have quite an extensive collection of the Uncanny X-Men comics (including many very early issues) but sadly had to sell it all. It takes away so much of that regret to be able to have these stories back, especially those pricey issues I was never able to own in paper and read.
Some of the scans show the flaws of the earlier, more rare comics themselves, including the occasional slight coffee ring or crease on the page. To me, that makes it all the more authentic and sort of adds to the enjoyment that can be derived from reading these. As the issues become more current, the colors become more vibrant, just like with the real comics. Adobe needs some tweaking now and then to get the pages to fit right for each monitor, but that's Adobe for ya'. Really, it's not a big deal in light of what you're getting.
I do hope someday they might reissue this as a comprehensive disk of everything X-Men (or a series of disks) with cross-over issues that might have left plot holes, such as is the case, I've read, with the Ultimate X-Men disk. For now, this is wonderful! I'm usually pretty reserved about giving anything 5 stars, so obviously I highly recommend this. :)
