5 out of 5 stars Compatible & Reliable   November 20, 2009

Compatibility. A product by Microsoft for Microsoft Windows, every game that supports controllers will support this one. Microsoft also releases updates to this controller via their Windows Update. Not only do games support it, but many of the games I have show the Xbox buttons and control scheme layout in the manual. They also show the buttons on-screen (which to press), just like on the consoles.

This controller also comes equipped with vibration.

I got the wired version because wired is usually more reliable and less problems than their wireless counterparts. Also if there are batteries involved, I'll pass.

The Xbox 360 controller gets a lot of flak for their D-Pad. They redesigned the D-Pad for Europe gamers (because of a soccer game) which shows you that it could be improved. However the PS2/PS3's D-Pad isn't any better.

I used to have a Logitech Wingman and the joysticks broke off. It was kind of cheap. Their new ones are probably better. Logitech's version of the Playstation 3 controller would be the only other option. However it doesn't seem as good as Sony's. Logitech also makes an Xbox 360-like controller.

I had no problems adjusting to this controller. I've used the PS2 and PS3 controllers the most. It's a lot like the PS2/PS3 controller. The first noticeable difference is that the joysticks aren't symmetrical. The D-Pad and Left Joystick are in reversed positions (comparing to the PS2/PS3 controller). However, it doesn't seem to matter. Now that I've been playing with it, I can't choose which I like better, Xbox's or Sony's.

A few of the games I've played with Xbox 360 for Windows controller:

- Batman Arkham Asylum
- X-Men Origins Wolverine
- Prototype
- Tombraider: Underworld
- Watchmen: The End is Nigh

All of which had on-screen displays for the buttons!

5 out of 5 stars Well it's an Xbox Controller   November 17, 2009

So... It's cheap, got to me quickly. I bought it because I wanted to start playing video games on my computer. This is definitely the best controller you can buy. It's comfortable, and legit. Sturdy and reliable. It's an Xbox Controller so it works for that as well. I've played Prototype, and Fifa 10 with it so far, and they've both been loads better than using a keyboard. Simple enough eh? Oh and don't buy Fifa 10 for PC, it may be the worst game ever.

4 out of 5 stars Great controller not good for Street Fighter   November 2, 2009

If your planning to play a fighting game your better off buying a joystick the D-pad is to small to do precise movements. This is the best overall controller on the market though

5 out of 5 stars Great Hardware !!!! Software, not so great!   October 22, 2009
T. Hoang (USA)
The Controller's hardware is great in everyway, great fit in your hands, buttons is responsive, great design, but it didnt come with any software for configuration... so you can only use this controller with supported games like Halo or NFS... unless you use thirdparty software like JoytoKey then it's just awesome !!!!!!

LOVE THE CONTROLLER!!
