Love the Wii! November 18, 2009 S. Cardenas My husband and I agreed that we would buy a Wii and we could have some fun with it in the winter and on our weekends. Well, its not winter yet, but we are loving us some Wii. It's not just a kids toy, this can so be for adults too! We still haven't used all the features on it, but we've been playing Wii sports. I like that it keeps track of our high scores. And who would've thought I would break out a sweat playing that game. But its all fun and we're looking forward to playing other games on it. This was a good choice!
Good Time Pass Technology. Can Access Interent!! November 16, 2009 Parameswara kandregula This product is cool for it's technology.
I like the golf game! Good graphics.
The sensor is good, placed even unevenly on top of TV and still picked my movements.
The surprising part was being able to access internet from this WII. Can access any site, even youtube play videos etc!!
Have it for 2 months but not really used it until totally bored.
Definitely a gadget to have but not sure how much one will use it. Kids will love it!!

The Wii is a very exciting gaming system for the initial few times you play it. After the novelty of the Wii remotes wear off, it loses its luster fast. Its one saving grace is the virtual console which allows you to download all of your favorite games from old consoles. That is what I spend most of my time doing on the Wii because you don't need to use the Wii motion remotes. You need to buy the classic controller for the virtual console games, which resembles a super nintendo controller. If you are looking for a game console for a party or to play with a group of friends, this is the system for you because anyone can play with such a small learning curve. The Wii is also great for small kids who will enjoy the controls and lack of depth in the games. The serious gamer will not enjoy the Wii. The controls become more annoying than fun after a while and many of the games you'd want are available and better on other consoles. I consider myself a mid level gamer, not hardcore addict but not a novice either. The main resason I enjoy the Wii is the Virtual Console and the Mario games. The main reasons I dislike the Wii are the lack of sophisticated games (at least half involve just swinging the Wii remote around in the air) and the graphics are worse than the other gaming systems out there.
One other way to break it down is this: If you enjoy sports games, role playing games, or shooting games...do not get the Wii. All of these games have versions that are better on the other consoles. If your goal in a gaming system is to just have fun with a group of friends and don't care about game depth or detail, or just need some Mario in your life, the Wii is a good purchase.
Down syndrome child Wii Bowling in 6 minutes! November 14, 2009 S. Harrington (Spring, TX United States) The Wii Sports program that came with this device was fairly intuitive for our 26 year old. This Down Syndrome child was Wii Bowling in 6 minutes! We plan on training her on as many other of the Wii Sports included as she moves along. Good job Nintendo!
