Extremely Dissapointing June 22, 2006 21 out of 23 found this review helpful
Jumpstart has been VERY unfair to its older users. While they make all new advanced fundamentals with all those extras and constant updates for young children (even preschoolers get the advanced), all the software for older children (especially this CD-Rom) is the OLD games with the OLD extras just with a fancy cover. Plus, the MERGED 5th and 6th grade TOGHETHER! And you didn't care a snit about the multiple intellegince you stressed so much in the younger ones. As for the games- the plot of 5th grade was VERY unrealistic, I didn't understand the characters' decision making and the cartoons and background were badly and boringly done. Plus it is very hard to make your levels go lower. 6th grade was just a total waste. The plot was SO BORING and SO PREDICTABLE and the gadgets etc. were SO STUPID that I trashed it. There were berely 7 very dull games that you had to repeat dozens of times with very boring concepts. The plot in general was shut down A.R.T. the end. No villian! No mystery! No adventure! It was ABSOLUTELY dissapointing. DO NOT buy this product. And jumpstart. Be more fair with the ages. Nowadays, even grade 6 (the top of your scale) seems young.
