5 out of 5 stars Majestic Chess Review   August 20, 2009
A. Paret
Once you try this game you will see that it was obviously created by computer people who wanted to put out a high quality product and were not in it just for money. The game has great functionality, different skill levels, you can work your way up as you get better. The tutorial is great.

The only thing you cannot do is play two players, but if you have two players you can pull out the board and play so this is a great learning and practice tool when you are by yourself.

One last thing. Whoever designed it designed it so it can download to your hard drive, thus you don't need the disk once you've loaded the game, this is great in case the disk gets scratched or you lose it. The designers weren't so greedy that they want you to purchase another game once the disk gets scratched.

Great value for the money!

5 out of 5 stars Buy it!   July 6, 2009

This is a great instructional chess game for kids or adults. Looks like there is a ton of training in this game, as I am only on Chapter 3.

It has a good format where you have to get everything right before you can advance, so you learn from repetition, but not too much repetition. I highly recommend it, as it is very inexpensive too.

1 out of 5 stars Good game, but fights with Windows XP, a lot.   June 15, 2009

I had an earlier version of this game which worked fine until I scratched the CD.

This copy is a great bother. First, it locked up Windows XP, repeatedly.

Now the first time I start it daily, the Install & promo blip comes up. Have to shut it down and start over.

Should have sent the #$%&@ back, whether or not I got a refund.

The game itself, the tutorials, etc. are most enjoyable.

4 out of 5 stars I like it exept for one thing   April 30, 2009
This is a really good computer game exept that you have to keep the cover and the password or you can't get in! Now I am going to have to buy another one to get the password! I any of you know what the password is I would really like to know.
