| Customer Reviews: A Fun Add On June 25, 2009 Headphone Hero (Palatine, IL United States) 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
I use Garageband to help develop my guitar skills and I thought that the loops that came with GarageBand were lacking in the drums department. This JamPack has a good selection of drum loops that work great for playing along with or for piecing together an original songs. After installing the JamPack, I now have 1236 drum loops of which about one third are for soft instrument drum kits and the other two thirds are actual recorded sound. I am pleased with the variety of the loops and fact that there are some fills.
I used an entry level drum machine for a while, but it was difficult to set up with the provided beats and even more difficult to program original beats. The drum machine costs twice as much as the JamPack. The loops and fills provided with this JamPack are way easier to set up for a song and the midi data can be edited to create new beats.
Overall, I am very satisfied with the product. If it were less expensive it would probably get five stars. (I have not fully explored the bass loops because I record my own bass tracks, so I have no comment on that aspect.)
Awesome Guitars August 26, 2008 jasmcl (San Diego) 2 out of 3 found this review helpful
I bought this just for the electric rock guitars and was not disappointed. Power chords, feedback, distortion, everything you need for real sounding rock sequencing.
Good but not for the money June 7, 2008 TECH guy 1 out of 4 found this review helpful
this jam pack is awesome. It comes with tons of new loops and instruments and the installation disc only takes up about 5 GB on your computer. Though I'm enjoying this product I feel that is not worth the amount of money that I paid for it. I only bought this to play around with other instruments but if you are one who actually takes time and wrights music this is a great purchase for you.
A lot of rock for the buck March 7, 2008 NWChef (Seattle, Washington United States) 3 out of 4 found this review helpful
I don't have a lot of music production experience, which is why I love Apple's GarageBand. This JamPack was easy to install - when I opened the program afterwards it was as if all of the new loops and instruments were always there. The sound is suprisingly warm and authentic, and I found the selection to be pretty comprehensive. This JamPack is a great foundation for anybody looking to learn the basics of the program... great drum kits and some incredible bass sounds.
Great Product! January 29, 2007 7 out of 12 found this review helpful
My school's computers have this GarageBand Jam Pack, and may I say, it's great! The drums, the bass, the guitar; everything is superb. You make your own songs. You make your album. You become the rock star. Not in a million years would I, Me, be able to make this kind of music without it. Go buy one, and make Amazon.com happy.
