Great buy November 4, 2009 R. Cronk My 4-year-old twins love this game. They started playing it around age 2 and it was simple enough for them at that age and today they still ask to play it. Good quality graphics and sound.
Not as good as I"d hoped April 12, 2008 K. Claybaugh (Illinois) We had this CD for my 9yr old when he was little. Ended up throwing it away because it kept getting stuck in the middle of play. We liked some of the games in it, so I purchased this again for my 2yr old in the newer updated version thinking it would be better. The reviews I read stated that even if your little one cant use a mouse, just the keyboard will make things work. Well, dont know about anyone elses 2yr old, but mine is punch happy on the keyboard and kept locking things up and exiting the game if he hit any other key besides an alphabet letter. So once again, disappointed in this software. Also purchased the Reader Rabbit and am very happy with that one. My little one likes it better too as it has more activities.

I bought this game for my 2 and 3 year old granddaughters. They were already playing Reader Rabbit for Baby and Toddler and had mastered most of the games and mouse control, so they became bored with Jump Start Toddlers quickly. It would make a good first game, but it is not recomended for children that have mastered basic computer skills.

I wished that it would allow more hands on than have the animated characters do most of the work, for instance recognizing shapes.
Awesome Software! November 17, 2007 Allie's Mommy (PA) 10 out of 10 found this review helpful
This is the only computer software my now almost 3 year old daughter has been able to thoroughly enjoy for the past year and a half. I had tried other software that was geared for older children (preschool or kindergarten) and they were way out of her range. So, on a whim, I picked up this title at toys r us while shopping for other items. My version is actually "Jumpstart Advanced Preschool" for ages 1 1/2 to 4 years. It consists of 4 CDs, one of which is "Jumpstart Toddler". This CD is affectionately known in our house as "Tickle Duckie" since that's what my daughter has grown to call "Dedee" the duck who is the star of most of the games. I credit this software to teaching my daughter her shapes, colors, and alphabet all at an early age... she had loads of fun playing all these games. She is now, at almost 3 years, just starting to grow out of these games. I just installed the "Jumpstart Preschool Fundamentals" CD on my pc and will see how she does with that now, but I'm sure "Tickle Duckie" will still be a favorite of hers.
