| Customer Reviews: Disappointed March 28, 2009 Anthony Pfeiffer We were very excited to try this program out. We used the same program for our first child back in the late 90's and it was WONDERFUL. So we purchased this updated version to work for Windows XP. To our disappointment, it wouldnt work. We try on both computers and it did not work so we had to get a refund. If it worked, it would have been a great program. Maybe the product was defective, but 4 out of 5 we ordered did not work.
Not what I expected January 18, 2009 Katie boylan (Danville,Pa.) 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
My son is REALLY into these types of educational computer games. We have many Jump Start computer games and though they are more expense, we still prefer them. This game was okay.
It's amazing what you don't know on a second grade level. January 15, 2006 Katey Knapp (Lancaster, PA USA) 24 out of 25 found this review helpful
This took a 30-year-old mom and her 13-year-old son approximately 2 1/2 hours to complete. We are extremely proud of ourselves, despite being a bit chagrined at having kicked out the actual 2nd grader for whom it was bought. She lost 30 points from my character, which just could not be allowed.
It really is very educational and challenging for the grade level. Aside from the many trap door pitfalls, there are also math and language arts hurdles to jump, swing, or run through.
My son and I recommend this game for people of any age to brush up on basic skills, and if my daughter ever gets it out of our clutches and has a chance to play, I'm sure she'll agree.
