I bought this in hope of turning some clip art into paintings for creating canvas, block and tile art without concern for copyright. It was not easy to find specific images such as rooster, grapes etc. Many items were labeled as picture 1, picture 2, so it would not bring up a rooster in the search even though there might have been one. For me I was more interested in clip art as vector, old time images and/or art. These discs contain mostly photographs and real life images. I had ClickArt 250,000 from 2001 and found that more useful to me than this. I can see if you are using it for advertising or if you are a graphic artist but for the everyday, unknown, artist I expected more.

Still the best product out there for diversity. Something for everyone and most occasions. But damn it I really need the catalog for quick searching of the images. Nova used to include the image catalog with all their products in the past. Now you have to send for it with an additional fee? Include it in the price and mail it all together. What a hassle. It's too time consuming to search all those images by computer.
Also it was much easier to order from Amazon than Nova Development! What they sent me was 34 individually mailed non-marked disks that I had to send back. What the heck was that all about?

If you have Vista, do not get this. It doesn't say Vista is supported, so beware. WMF graphic files are not supported in Vista so WMF files graphics will not display. Instead we get an error message.
The search software is awful.
The box states that you can get an 800 (?) page catalog. Their tech support states ".. If you didn't get one with the box, we do not have any to send".
If you want to really use ALL of the graphics, be prepared with a lot of graphics software.
And, their tech support cannot answer one of my questions, despite four emails defining what I need and where it is, because they do not know what graphics are on the 800,000 disks, even by disk no. and by category; example "Art Explosion, 800,000, disk 5, technical symbols".
If you don't have a catalog they are lost. Pretty typical of off-shore support these days.
The tech suppot emails resemble stonewalling, if we go round and round often enough we'll go away.

I bought this many years ago when I first started working in graphic/web design for a major online company. There are some useable graphics in it, but most are poor quality or mediocre at best. I certainly would not use most of the graphics in it. For a boxed set of clipart though, it's probably the best available and not bad for a beginner web designer. And, believe me, I've bought them all over the years, including Broderbund's many packages.

First off the search function is junk, best to search the folders with Windows search (lot faster). Two, you need to send $7 more! (not $5 like the paphlet inside says) for the book (which doesn't even show the fonts [one big reason I got it]). The vectors are good, the main reason I got the program. The photos and backgrounds are horrible, when do you need a 640x480 background these days? I thought they may be AT LEAST 1000x800 or so, can't use ANY of them. Carefully read the rebate too, it stated $30 back, but I only got $20 back because I didn't have any other NOVA software.
Bottom line: you need vectors and are willing to do a little "searching", this is for you, plenty of pictures. Web graphics, PLENTY cheesy low-quality ones to chose from. Looking for what I would call high-quality pictures? (AT LEAST 2megapixels or more) this is NOT FOR YOU. Fonts, ya there are a ton of them, but good luck looking for the one you want, it takes days.
AND everything is pretty out dated (couple decades or so) Chevy Geo, and Mercury Capri?! Tube Televisions, and radios from the 60s?! PLEASE!
-The whole deal is a little shady on their marketing end if you ask me.
-800,000??? maybe. I see about 100,000 total usable goods. Sorry.
