Real Life December 16, 2009 Carlos L. Guevara (Miami, FL) This book is about the real life. If you want to know how to manage the communications and the presentations as a powerful and definitive tool. Buy it.
A good, but basic read August 22, 2009 Ekaterina Walter (Oregon, USA) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
If you haven't read other books on communications, this might be an interesting one for you. However, if you are a seasoned communicator, I would skip it.
Very Good Book June 23, 2009 David Lusch (Fremont, CA, USA) I found this book to be an easy, yet informative read. Each chapter is very good at driving home one very important point about public speaking. There are really good supporting points in each chapter. I did not find that these were really secrets.
The book has many stories and quotes from well-known business communicators that really support Carmine Gallo's position. I did learn that many of the "world's greatest business communicators" do practice and put a lot of effort into their speaking and presentation abilities. I think that is valuable information for all.
I would recommend this book to anyone who wants to learn more about speaking effectively, not just in business as the principles can cross over to many different areas of life.
10 Simple Secrets of the World's Greatest Business Communicators April 26, 2009 Mark Davidson 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
The author had "passion" for and made an effort in the "preparation" of this book. Although, this book has some "good stuff if you can stick to it and find it," as commented earlier by a reviewer. Even though "brevity" and "clarity " are two of the 10 secrets identified in this book, it is hard to believe when reading this book. The writing of this book is neither with "brevity" nor with "clarity." I am disappointed with how this book was rated, after buying and spending time reading it.
Easy read. Great advice. Key insights. January 17, 2009 A. Khedaywi (Michigan, USA) Carmine Gallo's multiple years of experience clearly shows itself throughout this book. Not only does he give many credible examples throughout, but also he provides many key pointers that anyone wanting to improve themselves in any type of communication can really benefit themselves.
I would absolutely recommend this book to anyone wiling to learn from some great communicators, take the time to fully understand Carmine's thought processes, and truly wants to become a better communicator.
