REVIEW OF TWILIGHT ILLUSTRATED MOVIE COMPANION November 14, 2009 MARY CHESNUT (VIRGINIA)
Very very technical -- the details of producing the film -- definitely not gossipy: Searching for the film sites, the camera work, the weather, the hairdresser, the makeup, the costumer, details of the actual shooting of the film; from reading this book, my respect for Catherine Hardwicke TRIPLED; the entire production crew clearly has the greatest respect for her. I believe that she did a superb job of bringing "Twilight" to the screen -- she so clearly retained the flavour of the book. I was very surprised that she was not the choice for the subsequent films and I await "New Moon" with curiosity -- if the new director does even half as good a job as Catherine Hardwicke did with "Twilight", I will be greatly relieved!
Good story, poor writing November 6, 2009 Cheri Horgan (Hershey, Pa) I enjoyed the story itself, and the way it breaks the age barriers so that girls and their mothers can share the story together. Every woman dreams of a love so great, and one that will last "forever"! My only complaint is Stephenie's over use of the same phrases, and the plagiarism (just using different words but the same ideas, and sayings!). If I never hear another reference to toothy grins, or elbows and chins on knees it will be too soon! Bad writing aside, I did enjoy all four books. We even went to visit Forks, Washington on vacation, and enjoy meeting new Twihards wherever we go. Loved her story...hated her writing!
GREAT!!!! November 2, 2009 Twilight Mom (Dade City, FL) This is an amazing look at the first movie. The pictures are great and it is a must for all Twilight collections.
Great September 21, 2009 B. Hurd (New York City) The Complete Illustrated Movie Companion in someways is like watching the movie. I love it and am trully satified. If you are a Twilighter, this is a real keepsake.
Great product! September 7, 2009 Amanda E. Marineau Great illustrations! It's great to have movie stills in a book for a good keepsake of the movie.
