Bella Swan's move to Forks, a small, perpetually rainy town in Washington, could have been the most boring move she ever made. But once she meets the mysterious and alluring Edward Cullen, Bella's life takes a thrilling and terrifying turn. Up until now, Edward has managed to keep his vampire identity a secret in the small community he lives in, but now nobody is safe, especially Bella, the person Edward holds most dear.
Deeply romantic and extraordinarily suspenseful, Twilight captures the struggle between defying our instincts and satisfying our desires. This is a love story with bite.

twilight!!!!! November 8, 2009 meg cabot & elizabeth scott 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
I really liked this book because it was really complex and it dealt with alot of aurdinary teenage situations and things that arer beyond this world. i never got into this series until after i watched the movie but after i picked up the book i just couldn't put it back down. i usually like stuff with teenage romance because i think it's so sweet but this one was unlike any other i've read. it doesn't deal with a twist that's easy to figure out it's beyond that, i mean it's one thing that they are teenagers inlove but add that on to the fact that he's 108 years old counting his uman years and a vampire is pretty exciting. once you get started on this book you will find it literally imposible to put down.
Should or shouldn't? Do you really want this book? November 7, 2009 Jean Joyce (Milwaukee, WI) First of all it you really like vampires and aren't a fan of love stories don't read this book.
Most of it just talks about how wonderful Edward Cullen is.
The main swear words not refering to a place are he*l and there is a minor drug situation.
Over all it was an easy read and not challenging I'd say if you have kids (or mabey adults) ages 9-adult they would probably like this book.
Don't Take Twilight So Seriously and You Will Love It! November 7, 2009 Kim0410 (Strongsville, OH) In reading some of these reviews, I am surprised by how seriously some are taking this series. I am in my mid 30's and LOVED Twilight, New Moon, and Eclipse (feeling just ho-hum about Breaking Dawn)! I can understand that these are not the most well-written books and sure, there are flaws, but Twilight is an easy read and is a story that completely swept me away... it has been a long time since I was mesmerized by a story and felt compelled to stay up into the wee hours of the night reading. Books are meant to entertain us and to allow us to be "lost" in another world for a little while. I enjoyed the story and took it just as that... an enjoyable and imaginative story.
Meyer is no Rowling November 5, 2009 playsindirt (Saint Charles, MO USA) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I read this series to keep up with the pre-teen and teen girls in my neighborhood. I wanted to see what all the fuss was about. These read like they were written by a 12-year-old. Meyer is no J.K. Rowling, that's for sure. You can blast through one of these puppies in a couple of hours. Meyers seems to make up unnecessary characters when she runs short on creativity (i.e. if 5 vampires are good, then 30 will be better). This is especially true in the last book. And book #3 was pretty useless.
A saga that will be loved by all just like twilight November 5, 2009 Mary Y. Mckelvin (Bronx, NY USA) I started to read the series because the first television season was awesome. But come to find out the book series is just as awesome. It has a different twist than the season 1 and 2 but trust me it's okay. Now I just watch the the television show and compare what I read and it's fun.
